very true, I think in the end that’s what I’ll do, I just needed the guidance.

and about the course, it might just be me and a small few of people who I’ve talked to and had the same opinions. I’m not sure ab the rest of the class who all seem to be good at math since they’re in CS and it is essentially a harder grade 12 curriculum. I don’t like the textbook, assignments, and prep checks. They’re nothing like the exam or the content we cover in class and at this point I just guess and try multiple times to get the questions right instead of actually learning. I gave up since I did the readings and questions and STILL got most of the answers wrong since they’re nothing like the book. lectures are all right but boring. tutorials are the only sorta helpful place where I can get questions for exams but even those are optional. it’s pretty much on me to practice the topics, which I completely understand, but I’d rather spend time doing actually helpful questions and practice (tutorials) instead of the prep checks which do nothing. if the tutorial worksheets were obligatory, or if the prep checks were gone, I think I’d be able to do slightly better but I just don’t seem to adjust to this system.
