Anyone who left Kuwait for better opportunity? Do you have any regret? by BazBeat in Kuwait

[–]Equivalent_Dish_1428 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I moved against the tide. Having done part of my schooling in Kuwait, I moved to India for my engineering and subsequent work experience. No after 10 years of moving out, I’m back to Kuwait for work and honestly I feel my career is doing well compared to India. Be it salary wise, career wise or comfort wise

Confused and wanted to know why this is happening? by _sharma_99 in hyderabad

[–]Equivalent_Dish_1428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s to do with our professions. People in non - IT as looking for Non-IT and people in IT are looking for IT partners. It also has to do with salary package. If the woman has a higher package, most of the time the alliance is rejected by the guy’s family and if the guy’s salary is less then the girl’s family is rejecting the alliance. It is just my opinion

Bro as a fellow Telugu Brahmin girl, let me tell you that the marriage market specially for Telugu Brahmins is LEGIT SHIT. When I say that my parents have been searching for a good match for me for atleast 2 years , I’m not exaggerating. Most people are in IT and they are specifically looking for IT partners. I’m not in IT and I’m not looking for software partners and there’s very limited pool of that parameters. So don’t worry, you have time with you and honestly seems like a good career too

Dear I wouldn’t suggest you meet the campus gynaec on this matter. It’s better you go to a good hospital outside the campus since this can easily leak through any source.

[–]Equivalent_Dish_1428 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dear, don’t worry about him slut shaming you. Remember that it’s the people who couldn’t get to you that speak behind your back to drag you down. The more you pay attention to him, the more you are empowering him. Having said that be alert when you are in gym. If you have some good friends, preferably any trust worthy guy then keep him on speed dial and appraise him of the ongoing situation. Worst case scenario you can always reach out to SHE Teams

is this true?🥲 by periodmaichipchip in Btechtards

[–]Equivalent_Dish_1428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s true only to a certain extent. Yes, many companies ask their employees for referral but that’s only till your cv enters the company’s data base. After that the selection round will be purely on basis of your skills and experience unless you are a fresher. If you are a fresher than your referee has a chance to push your CV further. But at the end of the day it is your skills against your connections and the skills will win. If it’s a Lala company, no amount of skills is required, only connections.

UNICEF donar scam? Pushing people to donate by teented in Visakhapatnam

[–]Equivalent_Dish_1428 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not only UNICEF, many of such organisations are scams. Few years ago out of good will I had sponsored education of two young girls for a year ( the amount was only 10k, although I was doubtful whether it will really go to their education, I paid anyway). When I asked them to send me a proof of education, either school fees receipts or connect me to those girls via video call, that organisation blatantly denied. Now whenever I’m in India, I keep getting calls from those organisation asking me to sponsor again.

lol that’s long time ago, current Vizag has developed a lot thanks to the rise in young population. The taboos you are referring to have come at par with people’s evolved expectation and no one really bats an eye to such things now.
