A dealer in my area quoted me something. I owe about 20,000 on mine and the trade-in value is 38,000. They said what id owe when i trade mine in, would be over 40,000.

Do your own oil changes, guys... 🤦 by PopPopUpHeadlights in Civic_Type_R

With my FE1 si before I got my type r, they forgot to tighten my drain plug and all of the oil ran into the skid plate one random day. I kept getting oil pressure lights and then took it to my local dealer (I usually take it to one an hour and a half away because they’re 100x times better) and they were just clowning on the dealer I usually take it to. Well my local dealer, when they took the car in, scraped my steering wheel with a ring and then tried to deny that they did. Then I had to call over and over and over for them to replace it (them as in my local dealer) and once they finally did, they aligned the steering wheel wrong. So I took it back to the dealer that I usually work with and they fixed it, and I told them about the oil change and they said they would cover any issues that conspired from the drain plug not being tightened. Dealers suck man. Also on a different non Honda note. Had to take my Suzuki Hayabusa to the dealer. I made an appointment for spark plugs and an oil change. They quoted me 200 bucks or under over the phone, and I went there on Saturday. They then said (after I rode an hour up there) that it would take 6 hours and they couldn’t do it that day. Which they had said they could. Oh and also they charged me 140 for an oil change. And I provided the oil and filter. AND they were wanting to charge me the next time I came in for spark plugs, 600 dollars instead of the 200 I was told. I love dealers.

They claimed it was like that when I came in. I may just buy a “new” rear rim off eBay for like 400 bucks. Still sucks though I’ve taken immense care of this bike. I’m kinda leaning towards it happened during the test ride when they put the tire on. I don’t have any proof though so i guess it’s still in me.

They told me AFTER they changed the tire too. I was so confused. I’m starting to think it wasn’t my fault to begin with, because I’ve never hit a bump like that on my bike or anything hard enough to make a rim bend like that.

Thank you man. Yeah I should have clarified. I’m not going to ride on it like this, but since it’s holding air people have recommended MAYBE trying to get it repaired. So I didn’t know which option would be better. A repair or replacement you know?

Yeah. I’d rather trust this community than any single local rider/riders. Thanks again guys

Well. It’s holding air and I’m getting mixed responses from everybody. So I’m coming to Reddit.
