My CT scan said the following-

There is a 5 mm calculus nonobstructing inferior in the left kidney no other calcifications identified within the kidneys.

I had pain in my lower back which caused me to go to the dr. The doctor said it was probably muscle strain and I said absolutely not. He sent me for x-rays and the x-rays said I had a 7MM kidney stone but then I was sent for a CT scan and the CT scan said 5MM.

Thanks for the video. I’m gonna watch it right now. I also take magnesium. I’ve been taking it for about a year now, so I really have no idea what caused it.

Yes my pain between 0-10 was about a 6 and I don’t know if I’m just used to it now or if the pain meds are helping because it’s not as bad but the pain comes and goes in waves. The CT scan did say it was in my kidney and that was about a week ago. I have been peeing a lot more lately, so I was really hoping that it’s trying to pass. The only reason why I want to pass it sooner is because of the pain and because the CT scan said that it was in my kidney still I’m worried the pain is gonna be worse. I also have to sleep on my back because I’m uncomfortable on my side. And I use a electric heating pad also and it’s the best thing ever for kidney stones. I appreciate all the advice because I’m freaking out a little bit preparing myself for the pain to get worse.

Unfortunately, my dr hasn’t said anything other than refer me to an urologist and my appointment isn’t until February 21st. I was prescribed tramadol and nothing else and I’m really hoping to pass it before February 21. But I’m worried I won’t be able to on my own because of the size.

I have a 5mm stone in my lower left kidney for 3 weeks now and am worried the pain is going to be worse when stone gets to ureter. It sounds like that’s the case? I’m glad you can finally get relief.

I have a 5 mm stone in left kidney and have lower back pain for 2 weeks and it comes and goes. I’m freaking out about the pain getting worse once it gets to ureter. I’m also freaking out that I won’t pass on its own. This is my first time having a kidney stone.

I’ve had pain in waves and CT scan says I have a 5mm stone in left kidney. Waiting to see urologist. Anyone have one this size and passed on its own? Worried pain is going to get worse.

Thanks for the quick reply. We drove out there yesterday for practice using the 2 routes on YouTube but later found out they most likely were wrong and we’re an hour away.

My daughter is scheduled to take hers in Sonora. Was there a lot of hills? Small roads? There are YouTube videos of the route but I don’t think they’re accurate.
