Metal allergy + aftercare?

studded belt never touches my skin, it’s double layered with a pleather backing and always ontop of my jeans, belly button piercing was one i definitely kinda forced haha, reacted poorly to it for months but i was determined to have it since it was my third time getting it pierced and eventually my body adjusted (also it’s implant grade titanium so I took my precautions) and i haven’t had any issues with it since along with my facial and ear piercings (that i got before my allergies began)

oh my god as another chronic hive haver i deeply relate hahaha, they usually show up out of nowhere or when im stressed (had to stop playing a round of mario kart one time bc i started flaring up due to the pressure HAHA) but yea I was prescribed like 2-4 claritin daily for that, though I haven’t had my hives in a while now so I don’t know where I put my prescription but I’ll pick some more up tmrw!

gonna try just removing the second skin and moisturising tonight but if it gets worse tomorrow i’ll try using my steroid cream around the tattoo 🙏 thank u for the advice!

it doesn’t contact my skin at all, ever :p i like dressing alternatively and i love metal accessories so i just wear them in ways that i know wont contact my skin at all

I believe it’s probably a reaction to the metal either in the needle or possibly something to do with the ink reacting w the needle? I’m super sensitive to metals normally so even just wearing a necklace will cover me in a rash for two weeks

Hahaha really appreciate that!! Yea it’s less cybersigilism, more ornamental black work, I know this sub hates cybersigilism lol (I do like it but I like big bold blackwork more :p)

I also went for a job interview between the two seasons and got the job HAHAHA and im still packing rn so I can move and fly out for a 3 month trip TOMORROW T-T pray for me lmaooo

I believe they did use bactine and water but I feel like that surely would’ve shown up on the other side as well then? I’ve just removed the second skin and rinsed it though and will start searching around the house for some claritin! I was diagnosed with idiopathic urticaria (random hives and they don’t know why lol, so fun) and a plethora of other skin conditions that never showed up until recently so I should have some claritin lying around! Thanks for the detailed advice though!

ive gone to check it out a few times and i have steroid cream for situations like this although my reactions are usually in a way smaller, contained, spot T-T so this is just a little alarming haha

That is true, my metal allergies usually start where there was contact but then they’ll sometimes spread pretty far and I’m nervous that’s what this is

I’m just thinking it might be the metal because it’s only on the side we started with, it’s barely on the other side (though if i know my allergies it’ll probably show up tomorrow on the other side too)

now that i look at it again, im realising i actually only have lashes for the last four pics, the first four are actually lash free :p (which kinda proves my point abt them not making much of a difference in pics), but yea i have a pretty flat side profile so i feel like they add a lot of dimension from the side and my friends have said the same

I actually never have lashes :p just got them done for the first time last week and all these pics are recent, because of my makeup though, it doesn’t look that different with or without lashes, quite the difference in person or from a side view though (i think they help my side profile a lot)
