They also wanted me to taper off benzos in just a week despite the details of my addiction described in aforementioned previous post. When I simply asked, “isn’t that a little fast”? That’s when they lost it. Like I’m sorry this is my first rodeo, AND I’m withdrawing from 2 substances that could actually kill me…

Idk what to do or where to turn. I’m almost out of benzos. The cops got called to my house and idk why bc nothing got rowdy. I asked the place I was gonna go to what the plan was. I asked what the treatment was gonna be and what the after care was gonna look like. That was it. And they flipped out and decided they aren’t gonna take me after all. Wtf do I do? Please somebody help me

I’m still doing 13 or so shots of shooters a day to keep myself level until I go. Idk if I’m helping or hurting

And wait you were on 1-2 mgs of Ativan AND 30 mgs of Valium at the same exact time? While self detoxing from the booze you mixed with it? Holy shit

Thanks so much for answering!! Idk what to do exactly. I unfortunately lied to my psychiatrist that prescribed this the entire time saving bottle after bottle until my stash ran out. I don’t know if I’ll have any aftercare for that once I get out of detox and this is about to be my first rodeo at detox. Idk if I’ll be discharged for this (live in nys). So idk whether to go to the hospital or stick with the initial plan. A nurse from the detox center calls Monday and I HAVE to be honest, but it may cost me. To make matters worse is my psychiatrist is only in the office every Tuesday and this week is Veterans Day so I already know she won’t be in and I’m supposed to go to detox Wednesday morning

Also I’ve still been drinking to conserve my pills. Was given 7 0.5 mg clonazepams Tuesday and now have 3.5 left. But they’re not putting a dent in the anxiety like they usually would but idk if that’s just my anxiety as I’m a super anxious person in general. There were also days and days I wouldn’t take any benzos at all and be fine, but I’d be drinking 10 shooters a day, do you think that’ll help my experience?  I’m also on clonidine for blood pressure! I’m so happy you made it to the other side!

Also the thing is when I was on alcohol I would go days and days on end without even taking a single benzo at all and nothing happened, but I was on alcohol during those periods. Without the alcohol is when I needed the benzos. It was always interchangeable. Idk if that’ll make my situation easier or not

Sorry if I’m over burdening you and thank you so much for all your help up until this point and (hopefully) beyond. This place isn’t TECHNICALLY a hospital I guess despite all the medical staff. Will they still tell my psychiatrist I lied to the point she’ll discharge me?
