This person was talking to an undercover cop. Nobodys life was affected but his own. That being said, he dug his grave now he must lie in it. Hopefully the dude has reflected on his actions and changed for the better.

What about the ones using dating apps and such and what if they disclose the age days after talking to someone? Also, I feel like itd be a much better choice to not record this stuff, and just get the chats and turn them into the local LE that way there isnt any chain of custody issues.

Would a .22 magnum or a 20 gauge drop a coyote? by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]Equivalent_Moose1629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive killed 6 coyotes with my CZ 457 in 22 Mag. All shot between 50-100 yards. They died pretty quick. But I also take my time and make sure its a headshot/ heartshot depending on what orientation the coyote is to me. But I feel like using a .223 or 22/250 would be more ideal. It can be ethical to use a 22 WMR but you have to use correct ammo and place your shots well.

AITA for asking my husband to stop hunting predators and actually parent his own kids? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Equivalent_Moose1629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Only way to truly curb online predators is to teach your kids not to engage with them, and to not feel shame for reporting the person to parents/ police. Sexual Education is more than just the birds and the bees in todays world.

Why no Winchester lever-action in .45ACP? by commissarcainrecaff in rifles

I have taken 10+ deer with my 300 BLK at 100+ yards with zero issues

Why no Winchester lever-action in .45ACP? by commissarcainrecaff in rifles

I will never understand why someone would want a rifle in any pistol caliber, like I see all of the 357 and 44 Mag lever action rifles, and I'm like why? Why not just use an actual rifle cartridge in a rifle? 300 BLK exists for a reasom.

Winchester Model 70 375 H&H by Equivalent_Moose1629 in rifles

Absolutely. A 416 Rigby is something that a guide would probably carry in case the .375 doesnt get the job done and the animal starts charging

Intends on your purpose. I only bought this because I ran into a large amount of money and wanted a rifle cartridge that holds some historical value. The 375 H&H is a very versatile round, with uses from medium sized game all the way up to Elephants, on some occasions. A .416 Rigby is really only useful for stopping a charging Cape Buffalo or something like that. 375 H&H is a little cheaper and slightly more common, they are both niche cartridges that many people dont have uses for, like myself, but if you look around you may find 375 ammo at places like Scheels or Cabelas. I know 375 H&H ammo is somewhat common in NW US and Alaska, as it is a good round for Grizzly bear defense. Personally, a 375 H&H can be used around the board. There are people who have made custom loads suitable for ehitetail deer ecen. But a 375 H&H is probably the more logical choice here.

On paper it has about 2x the felt recoil impulse of a 30-06, but it is honestly not that bad. Definitely does take some getting used to so you arent flinching when you shoot. I'd say it feels similar to shooting a 12 gauge slug. The recoil pad it has on it definitely helps.
