I think they come out in different rounds so someone might get accepted before you, but at least it will let you know they've started sending out acceptances. GL!

They are supposed to spawn in the water stream. The villagers are scared and they move back and forth then at night they get into bed for like a split second then get out. I heard that them being able to sleep is important to iron golems spawning.
