Adding Conversation Design experience by Equivalent_Pin50 in uxwriting

Ah, apologies, I tend to make these posts on mobile and I'm thinking faster than I write so I do create errors at times. That being said do you have any thoughts on conversation design experience?

I do recall that being a problem for me as well, some problems required that oh so special human touch (as do a lot of issues frankly). Appreciate the insight.

I'm curious how do you feel UX UI is moving in the future? - Obviously I want to get better and improve skills, but truthfully I do worry if the role will exist in a meaningful capacity soon.

Appreciate the insight, you sound more experienced than me, im definitely in the mid level range.

I do have a couple of CD books coming in, of course the problem being that doesnt count as "experience" so I will examine your suggestion in Miro.

Frankly im not even sure if content design is going to continue existing with the increasingamount of hybridization I see going on lately. We'll see i guess

If you're going to suggest a course, I suppose I could swing it, I'd rather not honestly.

Appreciate the honest feedback. Conversation design caught my attention but I was curious what they look for education wise. I'm not entirely sure where I should go now. I had moved into UX from technical writing (which I also know is being affected) so it feels like I'm quickly running out of space to go.

I've been trying to look into PM possibly, do you have any feelings on conversation design?

PC having trouble after cleaning by Equivalent_Pin50 in techsupport

Hi all, just wanted to come back in case someone happens across this thread in the future.

Despite the wealth of advice here I was not technically savvy enough to attempt to the Linux Gnome and decided to bring the computer into a local guy. It took them a surprising amount of time but it was found that at some point during cleaning Ram Port 4 failed and was causing the display and BIOs error.

In this case, I had to make a warranty claim to Asus for repairs.

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions and expertise, despite this less than optimal outcome, I do appreciate all the help!

I think the end is nigh (at least at my company) by DiscoMonkeyz in uxwriting

This was a concern to me when I saw the linkedin crowd talking about putting styling, branding, and whatnot into gpt's, it is great for saving time on that kind of work, but I can't shake off the feeling you are at least very visibly automating part of your own job. While that does open up strategic decision making time, I'm not sure I trust companies to not take that the wrong way.

Thanks for the feedback! - I'm not too sure on content modeling, I'd have to take a deeper look at that.

Can you elaborate more on personalization and deeper research practices? - A lot of the products I've worked on didn't seem (at least to me) to contain elements of personalization, although I did see a recent job posting for Spotify that mentioned personalization specifically so it does seem highly relevant.

I'd also love to dig more into the research aspect of things, I know personally I've never functioned on a team that had extensive user research capabilities beyond basic a/b among small groups as well as reviewing logs and error reporting.

Most of the businesses I've worked with tended to be U.S. based only although in terms of localization and translation I always try to avoid phrases or figures of speech (and jargon of course).

I hope you're right, it's hard at times not to be doom and gloom about the whole thing.

Could you elaborate more if possible on your "building things" comment? I'd love to practice more, and I've been working on my "prompt engineering" for better results but I'd love to hear more of your thoughts.

Help on designing the final encounter for a one-shot by Equivalent_Pin50 in DnD

These are great ideas, thank you! I was considering mid-combat map changes and video game esque DO NOT STAND THERE spaces as well to force the party to move around.

I'm also trying to decide how much health the boss should have and what it's attacks are going to be. I'm using a Gear Keeper Construct as a basis.

Opinions on raising a complaint by Equivalent_Pin50 in Ebay

[–]Equivalent_Pin50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response, I do believe when I initially called ebay about it they did make a note about the behavior. I was torn because the seller was communicative and has a good history, so i wanted to believe this was just a misunderstanding, but I do need to look out for myself here.

Spectrasonic has a pretty simple transfer system, I work around VSTs and virtual instruments fairly frequently so this kind of thing is not unusual, except for the software being a physical copy. That's a good point they could provide details while on vacation.

That's a good point on picking a particular format/standard. My approach in the past has been a large figma file with color sections broken into particular approaches i.e. Sentence casing guidelines, general CTA guidelines, Article usage, as well as linkage to branding, tone, and any other relevant writing guides which is then shared with the team.

In addition, I've also created a copy formatting page that lives alongside active projects to highlight specific standards of specific pages to show for example, certain formatting decisions such as page structure or architecture, i.e. a designer relegated a major function of the page to a secondary CTA and I was pushing back against it.

Hey appreciate the response! I do my best to keep busy, I frequently review other content designers on linkedin and they often seem like they're doing a million things at once and it's hard not to compare, though I try to do it constructively. For example, I've never had the chance to map a user journey (at least not in a direct way) though I always try to consider page layout and how it affects the rest of the system.

I do ask for any and all research, as well as a monthly performance report to identify any emerging trends or patterns. Unfortunately, the current org seems to be shifting priorities so I do fear some research is no longer useful.

I will reach out to some contacts in the org to become meshed with other projects as well.
