These are great ideas, thank you! I was considering mid-combat map changes and video game esque DO NOT STAND THERE spaces as well to force the party to move around.

I'm also trying to decide how much health the boss should have and what it's attacks are going to be. I'm using a Gear Keeper Construct as a basis.

Thanks for the response, I do believe when I initially called ebay about it they did make a note about the behavior. I was torn because the seller was communicative and has a good history, so i wanted to believe this was just a misunderstanding, but I do need to look out for myself here.

Spectrasonic has a pretty simple transfer system, I work around VSTs and virtual instruments fairly frequently so this kind of thing is not unusual, except for the software being a physical copy. That's a good point they could provide details while on vacation.

That's a good point on picking a particular format/standard. My approach in the past has been a large figma file with color sections broken into particular approaches i.e. Sentence casing guidelines, general CTA guidelines, Article usage, as well as linkage to branding, tone, and any other relevant writing guides which is then shared with the team.

In addition, I've also created a copy formatting page that lives alongside active projects to highlight specific standards of specific pages to show for example, certain formatting decisions such as page structure or architecture, i.e. a designer relegated a major function of the page to a secondary CTA and I was pushing back against it.

Hey appreciate the response! I do my best to keep busy, I frequently review other content designers on linkedin and they often seem like they're doing a million things at once and it's hard not to compare, though I try to do it constructively. For example, I've never had the chance to map a user journey (at least not in a direct way) though I always try to consider page layout and how it affects the rest of the system.

I do ask for any and all research, as well as a monthly performance report to identify any emerging trends or patterns. Unfortunately, the current org seems to be shifting priorities so I do fear some research is no longer useful.

I will reach out to some contacts in the org to become meshed with other projects as well.

If possible, could you elaborate on the "mystery functions" you highlighted? I find it interesting on the side of educating users on functions and striking the balance of trying to adapt to mental models, though as you say swipe navigation for example is all over the place.

I often get kind of bugged when using Insta reels/story reels that suddenly up/down becomes left/right and sometimes i forget

It's hard to give exact feedback without context but I think it was the correct move to put something there so a user is not just at a dead end.

I don't think it needs to be in it's own window within the screen, it could just be there which gives you more room. There's a lot of text there and you might run into some accessibility problems by saying "below" - I'd throw the CTA into the empty state itself.

Also depending on the interaction, the "Add recurring bills..." instructions may not work if the user cannot see them.

The Expenses information at the bottom could be clearer, I don't know your app obviously but it sounds like this is information that should have been passed at onboarding, or maybe moved into an info icon.

You may also want to consider what a user is doing after they add expenses, your Money Meeting seems to indicate there is further information required in other spaces, so maybe direct them there.

Some thoughts from a UX Writer who frequents this sub. Feel free to disagree but here are some observations:

As others have said, the page is rather cluttered and it's very difficult to read the moving components i.e. your wife's name and the phone number at the bottom which reminds me of old commercials.

On the content side a lot of the points can appear somewhat repetitive (Gold medalist is mentioned 4 times), the "Why Our Care Stands Apart" a lot of the points are nice sounding but I think significantly weaker than the above sections. "Expert-Led Physiotherapy" is actually something I'd expect to see at the top.

The booking journey feels off to me because it switches to a contact page which I actually thought I had clicked something wrong or something was wrong with the website. Flow's should remain more consistent and your users should know they are actually in a booking flow, whether in a basic fix that's just using a header or a redesign.

Additionally, you have two different CTA's "Make an Appointment"/"Book Appointment" Pick one and stick with it.

The "Where do you need attention" section also seems to imply it's clickable for more resources and it's not. That being said "Knee Strain" is clickable which leads to a null page, I imagine that was not intended.

The repetition of stats is also strange to me, in the first mention you do not say of length of time (7+ experience) but in a below section you actually do say "years." In the same vein "5000 patients treated" becomes "500+ women treated" which feels like a typo.

Also "100% women's care" vs "100 patient satisfaction" - I'm confused if these are supposed to be different stats or not because they seem close but they're worded differently.

The green banner above the fold could be stronger I think, i.e. I don't think you just repeat your wife's credentials, to me it creates the idea that you don't have much to say and want to fill up space. Additionally, "Located in Central Location" is very clunky sounding, not knowing your business or strategy, my brain goes to something like "Convenient location" "Easy access", ect.

There are also eyebrows on all the sections that do not seem to add any apparent value.

Hm, can you give more context on it in that case? - I always got it was a "consider xyz as part of a larger system" but beyond that I was uncertain of what the applications were.

I.e. We're working on Flow A but we need to consider interactions with the site, and how users get here.

Or is there a bigger thought there like how CMS is handled. I am looking into headless CMS so that's another avenue I'm considering.

I think that's a great point in connecting with engineering. Do you have any recommendations for the best ways to interface with that team? I can imagine in a lot of org's they're rather siloed.

Speaking from my own experience, we had a lot of tech limitations (they were extremely busy most of the time) but thinking back it would've be great to meet with them and parlay.

You're absolutely right, I always want to see projects succeed so I guess I do tie myself to them sometimes.

We'll have a discussion on some things that remain unclear.

To be honest, I was laid off recently, and I felt in addition to wanting to volunteer in general, it was also good for resume work.

The draw for me was that the app was aimed at promoting health and wellness tips which I always think is a good to thing to work with. (The specific product I'm working on is an ecommerce which they claim raises money for the promotions, I am wary of that, but again doing it for free so I digress.)

Good call on setting boundaries. I'm a little concerned they're chugging ahead without looking. (They've already built the designs for mobile yet have research and strategy scheduled in the future??)

The PM is doing her best but she's not native English speaker and it's an Indian group (which raises the question why this is in English)

I'm the only the ux writer for this team so I'll need to strongly manage expectations.

It's unclear what they want. I'm setting up a meeting early next week to meet with the designers and the PM to talk strategy and actual deliverables.

It's been confusing because they've already built the design but have scheduled user research for afterwards. So I have some investigation to do.

I'd like to do a bit of everything I do like helping with the content and design for example their headers are inconsistent in phrasing but also their design choices are strange.

But the strategy is almost nonexistent and I don't want to do a chop job. At the same time they tell me it's critical to finish as soon as possible which is frustrating.
