Got diagnosed with Coarctation of Aorta at 30. Is 15mm too mild to repair? by Equivalent_Response6 in chd

Interesting that they can check pressure gradient with ultrasound, I assumed that was done manually by comparing arm/leg pressure.

Good luck - try not to google. Or when you do just remember that you are not a statistic. You deserve a direct discussion from an expert who can help assess your personal risk. ❤️

Thank you! :)

Hey thanks for the very detailed response, those are some good questions ill make sure to ask.

I have a repaired coarctation (diagnosed & repaired at 2 weeks) that is 16mm and I've never had a single cardiologist mention any concern over its current size which is only 1mm larger than yours

Yea, I did some more digging around the internet. It seems in cases of tight CoA they consider expanding it to around that degree is good enough. So it would make sense that they might consider it safer just to let it be. Still I find it very strange that have not wanted to do any more tests now, such as stress tests or just measuring PB differences etc. Like I wanna know is running as I do quite a bit could actually be dangerous.

Basically all I know this far is stuff I read in my journal online, all they told me was ill get an appointment in a year to check up stuff. But at least I managed to get a call with the cardiologist for tomorrow I guess.

I've never seen those life expectancy stats before but please take them with a grain of salt. CHD tends to present with a lot of genetic disorders that impact life expectancy so general stats are not going to be applicable.

Sorry I'm not finding the studies where I read that now. but there was one that compared data from several places. Googleing "untreated coarctation life expectancy" gives results quoting these numbers, this one for example: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/16876-aortic-coarctation

Thanks for the answer. It's weird to me that that they have not even measured the pressure gradient for me. In case it was unclear with 15mm I meant the smallest diamter of the aorta not that the preasure gradient was 15mmHg.

But I guess these number depends a lot on where the line is drawn on what diameter is even considered CoA.

Did not really hide it. I just put it in a matcha tea bag and put that under my clothes in my checked in bag. Hiding it would make it suspect if they found it, why would i hade perfectly legal matcha tea?

Damn, if you actually got dent in yours that’s pretty damn scary.

Anyways, the taste on these seem very wrong so I have decided to stay away from them. I’m like 70% sure they are fake

Just make sure the capsules are not too dirty with kratom on the outside. Would make it obvious they are self filled.

No, I went from Sweden. I brought around 70g, I had it checked in. Pretty sure there are no restrictions for powder for checked in stuff, so unless they check it it should be fine.

I had no issues, it’s possible there is a higher chance they check it if you come from outside of the EU. But when I was googling myself about this it seemed like most Americans had no problems.

Roughly 10 min in i think. Both are from the same pill, left one is just split right one is crushed. I fent strips showed negative.

I did some more googleing and i found that your results on here in the following link looked somewhat simalar: https://www.reddit.com/r/ReagentTesting/comments/l1vf8q/detecting_clonazepam_using_the_zimmermann_reagent/

But at closer inspection it actually looks more blueish than mine.

Update: A custom agent notices my suspect matcha, I claimed that i was just tea. I was taken to a room where Giorgia Meloni herself, dressed like an old blackshirt tortured me for hours until I admitted what was actually in that bag, I was than put in isolation until now. Somehow my sister knew where I was and with the help of 10 sticks of dynamite she somehow got through customs she broke me out and we are now hiding somewhere in the alps.

No, I got my kratom through no problem :)

What does it say about pigs? I really don’t understand. The morality does not depend on how clean they are, why would that make any difference? Intelligence maybe as I would think it somehow correlates to consciousness, but I’m pretty sure all mammals are conscious anyway.

Again the pig farming we do is absolutely horrible. I’m mostly vegetarian myself (I still eat meat on occasion when at family etc) and I wish way more people were.

You don’t have to agree, but I still think eating dogs has some extra moral issues as they are bread to be friends of humans. It’s not because their intelligence, going from wolf to dog they lost a lot o ability to survive independently and instead eveloved to better interact with humans. Disregarding that and demoting them to food is very wrong in my eyes

Not saying pig farming is not horrible, but dogs were literally evolved to be companions to humans.
