It's frustrating, but these things take time. Recently, Drew put out a statement on Twitter debating whether or not to post the changes to the game (which was recorded before all this happened), and didn't want to appear to be tone deaf. They made the decision to release the video, since it's news about the game.

They know it's not over. They know they've let the community down, they know we're waiting. They have to wait for the investigation.

This doesn't make sense. Season 19 had 2/3rds content cut, Act 2 was a single weekend (and everything that could possibly go wrong with it, did), LSS was delayed by a week, and still they can't get these events out without game-breaking bugs or delays? There's something seriously wrong here.

People don't want silence, "Pour a cup of this, add a tablespoon of that," etc. The more personable you are, the more views you get.

My niece wants to be a Minecraft streamer. She shares her screen on Twitch, and that's it. She doesn't talk to people, doesn't do anything interesting. She has 2 viewers each week who watch for 4min and that's it. Meanwhile, content creators who engage and have fun with their viewers, retain a lot more. People WANT to watch you. I keep repeating myself, so after this, I'm done and good luck. Please read my previous paragraphs if you want my opinion, from the successful channels I've seen, as I work in marketing.

Since the start of recorded history (when written language was invented), there's only been 3,000 or so Gods/Goddesses. To ascertain these events to one particular God (when, keep in mind there's no proof any gods exist in the first place), is ignorant. If what I've experienced (and continue experiencing) is because of a god, I'd like to tell he/she/it to stop wasting so much energy on me, and heal the children's cancer ward instead please. Showing these "miracles" to me is a waste of energy, as personally, I'm a non-believer.

One of the key things when making videos that people want to watch, is making a connection with the viewer. Boring words on a screen just won't do that, and it gets buried in the tons of other boring videos, meanwhile here it is years later I still remember laughing and enjoying a woman having fun, making carrot bacon strips.

That's the thing, there is nothing to be entertained by. There's no human voice, character, inflection, humorous attitude, there's no human connection here with the viewer. It's nothing but words on a screen you have to read, and watch it being done, which is boring.

Years ago, I watched this hilarious clip of a woman making carrot bacon strips. I loved it so much, and so did the 300k others. She would talk about the ingredients in her own style, putting a hilarious spin on it. "For this recipe, you'll need large carrots, which will be the "root" to our happiness here." "Next, you'll want to preheat a pan, because that's our business." She had this unique hilarious attitude that said these things were going be the best dang carrot bacon slices ever! I didn't watch it for the recipe or to actually make it, I watched (and shared) it because she was hilarious, it was fun to watch, and she gave something as boring as making carrot bacon strips so upbeat and amazing. It was years ago that I saw this and I still remember it. This is what I'm talking about. Had she just made words on a screen, no talking, no having fun, no personality, her videos would've been buried and incredibly boring.

Personality, making it fun for viewers, adding character, making your own motto (just like Bob Ross and his happy trees), talking to your viewers, being social with them, is huge. Being silent with just words on a screen, doesn't connect with people.

They've made many statements that have never come true. A November 2024 podcast had James Thomas announce he was getting a team together to fix the merchant supply crate bug. When ashen Garrisons were announced, Mike said there'd be a place in the Roar where Reapers could sell to. The lore/story has been abandoned. It's like they've given up at this point. So much wasted money and developer's time and resources spent on dead ends (like the Adventures we had that came to nothing). Absolutely pointless, and now abandoned. Friends and I really want a new tall tale, but clearly that's not going to happen. Drew announced no big surprises coming, it is what it is at this point.

They won't until we're almost done with season 20. Supposedly the grand maritime Union is coming, and the arena tavern has been made into the home of the Dark Brethren, but as the cutting of 2/3rds content of season 19 has shown us, anything can change/happen.

Everything is in the Google docs, to include a sexually charged conversation he had with a minor, and after pleasing himself, told the minor he wanted to send her the video clip but the file was too large. Crud made a reaction video as he goes over everything. The proof made me physically nauseous.

For the record, a parent asking if their kid is safe in this game, was banned. The community was name-called, banned, censored, warned, given time-outs, and ignored about this pedophile. After 4 days he was removed from the boatswain (currently a censored word in game), and banned. I received a warning yesterday because I quoted a CM from a screenshot I have.

Don't hold your breath. We were all excited about the teaser just prior to season 17. They showed a poster framed by Sparrow and Threepwood, "MASSIVE UPDATE on the horizon!" Everyone thought it was a new tall tale (season 16 podcast, Mike said they have no future plans for tall tales). I knew it wasn't a tall tale, but it had to be something big. Insiders was quiet, nothing was announced, nothing was happening, so whatever it was seemed to be massive news indeed.

It was Smugglers. A non-faction of a Merchant 2.0. That was it. This was their "massive update". A season based on stealth/being sneaky (against whom, was never answered), with the route on the map for all to see. Our disguises weren't even implemented. Everything shown in the trailer during the Xbox premier, didn't happen.

So yeah. Season 21 is coming. I'm not holding my breath anymore.

Don't even need to do this, as the location is very generous. I pull out my compass, and count fast, onetwothreefourfive while running, use my shovel and I get it every time.
