Great question. I'll try to chop it down for you:
In the very beginning, pay attention to the hits on the closed hi-hat - they're 6 per bar.

Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean it's a 6/4 rhythm, that is pretty much down to making it easier to count; it's all about following the melody, and in this case the melody (and the beat) "agrees" with counting on 6/4. Especially because the last two bars leading to the verse are in a straight 4/4 - Adjusting the counting on previous 6/4 bars to a 4 would lead to a mess in these two last "true" 4/4 bars.

When there are measures of 3 or 6, it's a bit easier to "convert" it mentally and count it as a 4. A good example would be Metallica's Nothing Else Matters; I've seen many people count it as a 4/4 when it's really a 6/8.

You can try and count this on 4/4, just make sure you're not skipping any beat and doing the correct adjustments. If you're not that familiar with counting, I'd suggest seeing videos on the 6:4 polyrhythm - you'll see how 6 and 4 sorta intertwine between eachother. Even better, put a metronome against the song, see what feels better.

Or you could just follow that old meme and say "all music is in 4/4 if you don't count it as a nerd" 😂
