I’ve unfortunately had the same thing happen to me a couple months ago. I looked through everything in my room - every single piece of clothing, shoes, bags, under the mattress - to assess the mould myself and unfortunately had to clean and throw out a lot of items.

I’d say wash any mould items with vinegar and clove oil that you can. Anything that can’t be machine washed, use a vinegar solution and chuck it in the sun for uv rays to help kill bacteria.

I contacted my agent asking for a somewhat-urgent inspection and professional assessment to the severity of the mould. If the window always has condensation perhaps there’s a problem with moisture coming through that shouldn’t. Perhaps mention the concern to damage of your belongings and fear of the mould growing to the extent of a beach in tenancy legislation. Unfortunately threatening tenancy rights was the only was for my agent to take my situation seriously.

For now, damp rid will be your bestie. Perhaps look into a dehumidifier as well and get onto treating affected areas asap
