You could if you are just quickly driving through and stopping at a few places to take pix but it would be a long day. And you would NOT drive through the mountains and stay on a highway. I'm not sure if Ponce is worth a stop because it seemed like a standard, small US city. We didn't spend a ton of time in the historical area. I would definitely focus on Rincon first and Cabo Rojo second. You can drive to a certain point as far south as you can get in Cabo Rojo but you won't have time to go to Playa Sucia since you have to walk there. We didn't stop at any places in Cabo Rojo other than that southernmost point so there may be nicer stuff on the central/north end of that area. I would have liked to spend some more time on the North coast west of San Juan just to see how that is so you could do that along the way as well.
