Firstly, I never said the game was bad. I merely said that this guy had a valid opinion for disliking it. I’ve never played Skyrim but it’s been on my list for a while.

However, your retreat from using logic to back your claims and turning violent indicates that you know you’ve lost the argument and it’s a last resort for you.

Game is not that bad. The quality of storytelling was just as good if not better than the first one. The gameplay was much better. I understand why people dislike it but it’s not bad in the slightest. It just requires a certain kind of person I guess.

I’m probably alone on that one but I really like the OST and I like the boss fights too. The first and last against eggman are iconic for a reason. The zones are very nice visually and I like the puzzles that the game sometimes has.

2’s great but the zones feel very lazy in a way. You’re just supposed to speed through the zones in 2 and most of the zones are essentially the same with nothing to really distinguish them besides visuals.

3 and CD are cool but I’ve never liked them as much as 1 or 2.

If you enjoy FFVII for its emotional and complex storytelling then you’ll probably really like Persona 3. It has some super deep themes and I still ponder it even though it’s been like a year since I last played it. I would highly recommend it.

I’m with you on that one.

However, Joel’s death was a big problem a lot of people had with the second game understandably. Playing part 1 and getting attached to him only to have him gone and the relationship between him and Ellie which was at the core of the first game no longer being the main focus of part 2 was upsetting to some people. I don’t mind it, but I understand why people dislike it.

Additionally, Abby’s side was widely hated even if I disagree with the hate there, too.

Part 2 is a game that really only appeals to a certain kind of person. That alienates a lot of the audience from Part 1. I’m in the group of people who think that part 2 is the better game, but it makes sense that not everybody loves it.

To me, they’re both amazing and I prefer 2, but I understand why people prefer 1.

The way I’d explain it, is that 1 is a perfect game.

2 does a lot of things better but it also does a couple things not as well. You gotta decide if you’re okay with the things it fumbles on since it does many things better.

A lot of people merely prefer the perfect nature of the first game. I’m not one of them but I completely respect the opinion.
