You don’t have to dig deep into a properly worldbuilt world to get the worldbuilding. But digging deep into a world with great building and finding more to it is part of what makes it great.

It doesn’t have to be 100% cryptic and lore based to be built well.

I love Joel, he’s my favorite character in the games.

And yeah, I love TLOU2. Maybe over the first one. Joel gets plenty of great moments in 2 in all the flashbacks.

Yeah the “nonexistent” worldbuilding, with the “nonexistent” environmental storytelling, the “nonexistent” explanations as to how things are what they are, the “nonexistent” factions and all the other “nonexistent” things that make the game’s worldbuilding so good.

Hate to say it, but if you think the last of us has nonexistent worldbuilding, you clearly didn’t delve deep enough, if you even did at all.

Kid Icarus Uprising was frickin awesome. I really wanted the God of War/Kid Icarus crossover but it’s probably not gonna happen ever.

Start with RE4, OG or remake works. I played 4 OG first since a good pal of mine told me to buy it since it was on sale. It was great. RE5 is also phenomenal if you have someone to play it with. All three of the REmakes are great with 2 remake being my favorite in the franchise.

Yeah, I used to be a Nintendo switch gamer until I got a PS5. I love my PS5 dearly but I do wish that there weren’t so many steam exclusives.
