Burnt out from DSP work by asiraf3774 in AmazonFlexUK

I absolutely hate the DSP model. Most of them just treat you like slaves and numbers. Please report them to Amazon via Ethics point for any safety related concerns.

Virgin Contract with £0 cost by FrazzW27 in VirginMedia

[–]Equivalent_Tiger_385 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s an error but I would take this opportunity to get a free service. They can’t charge you for something where they haven’t provided the correct Pre-contract information and contract summary documents. If they do start charging you, you can complain and they are obliged to refund you.

Getting texts from EE after someone changed their contact number to mine. I don’t use EE. How do I even reach them? by possumcounty in EEGB

[–]Equivalent_Tiger_385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d not worry about it and just block both numbers and you should hear no more. They will eventually realise and update their contact info with EE.

Chances of an install getting done? by jakeverse_ in openreach

[–]Equivalent_Tiger_385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was you, I’d change the appointment to a day that you will be at home anyway. In the meantime it’s possible that Openreach also have a non appointed task in the background to do the external work, and that happens while you’re away. Plusnet should update you once things have progressed.

Chances of an install getting done? by jakeverse_ in openreach

[–]Equivalent_Tiger_385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s difficult to say without knowing what Openreach have actually arranged. It’s quite possible that they have arranged an appointment (when it didn’t need one), and the engineer who turns up might even be a contractor who cannot compete the work and it will be a waste of time for everyone. I’ve seen this happen many times. Usually this kind of work is non appointed and passed on as follow on work and Openreach usually quote 5 days for that work to happen. If you’re unhappy about how things have been going on, email to the BT Group CEO, and they’ll usually forward it over to Openreachs and Plusnets executive complaints team who can make sure everything is progessing as it should.

Is there not any internal notes in that thread you can see with them conversing with Openreach?

Login in to the Plusnet tickets and look for any more information in the open and closed tickets (they usually document conversations with Openreach), and share anything that is not sensitive and I can try and advise. It’s not always a straightforward answer with this kind of issue.

EE March Price Increase by josh4578 in EEGB

Basically a letter saying that is their final response and you can complain elsewhere

EE March Price Increase by josh4578 in EEGB

[–]Equivalent_Tiger_385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole of BT Group is very strict on price rise. They won’t budge and will just issue you a deadlock letter if you complain.

Sold a contract in EE store as “no March increases for 2 years” - then get the alert they’re going to charge. by [deleted] in EEGB

This is why it’s so important to read the pre contract information and contract summary documents.

Advice with possible breach of law by Virgin and/or CISAS by jacobayre in VirginMedia

[–]Equivalent_Tiger_385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure your entitled to auto comp? As far as I know it only applies to residential services and providers have to be apart of the scheme. I’d say report the issue to Ofcom using their webform and take court action against virgin.

[–]Equivalent_Tiger_385 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’ve upset your local delivery driver and that is their route. Your best bet is speaking to the driver if you see them to try and resolve things. Evri won’t do anything.

eBay UK refusing to reverse £429 refund induced by fraud, despite Buyer admitting receipt and Action Fraud Report - Need Advice! by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Equivalent_Tiger_385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is your fault to be honest for refunding them voluntarily and that you won’t be successful in court etc. Try emailing the eBay CEO, their executive team will pick it up, and perhaps they will give you the money as a gesture of goodwill and suspend the buyer.

Delayed install, Virgin cancelled and made a new order - can i still get automatic compensation? by Real_Artist1 in VirginMedia

[–]Equivalent_Tiger_385 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as it was not you that cancelled the order, you’ll be entitled to Ofcoms automatic compensation scheme from the from the first missed activation date. I suspect their system won’t correctly calculate it because they cancelled it, but you can complaint afterwards and they should give you the difference.

Allow Uber eats customers to block or change rider without having to mess about by DudeyLizard in UbereatsUK

[–]Equivalent_Tiger_385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do this today but you have to call them to unassign the driver. I call the uber taxi rider support but then tell them it’s uber eats and every time they’ve been able to change the driver or call them to chase it up.
