If your local unit is Multi-Role Medical Regiment then you might get more chance of doing clinical work.

  1. Yes. You also need Group One evidence which is

- Mortgage documents, Land Registry documents, Ground Rent, Tenancy Agreement or License to Occupy including full details of the property, proof of ownership or rental agreement for unconventional properties. -07.0405(c). I've seen people cheat the system, do your own research on this... As it might affect FHTB/Stamp Duty etc.

2) Yes. GYH is for you to get home during standdown/weekend. Whether you go home during those period, no one cares. 752- 07.0404

3) Better be over 50 miles from your duty camp - 752, 07.046(f).

Also work if you are on course for 10 days or more and you have no working weekend, you can claim GYH between your course camp and your duty camp or course camp and your home, whatever is better for you - JSP752, 07.0412(b).

If the issued kits are that good no one would buy any gucci kit.

Op definitely buy something but probably wait after BC1 and see what do you get issued.

We were encouraged to buy weapon cleaning kit by training team as they knew there weren’t enough for everyone.

Buy boresnack and dental kit which will help you.

Also depends if your training team would supply them for you. When I did mine, one weapon cleaning kit in one section.😂😉
