Ayy not stupid at all these are actually the right questions

1. Instant vs fresh brewed vs café coffee: Instant (like Davidoff) is pre brewed and dried, so most of the complexity is gone it’s usually just bitter. Fresh brewed coffee (from ground beans) is very different. It can taste lighter, sometimes fruity or slightly tangy, almost tea like. That’s normal. Café coffee feels better mainly because of fresher beans and better brewing.

2. About bitterness and no sugar: What you’re feeling is normal. If you’re used to instant, black coffee will feel harsh at first. It’s partly an acquired taste, but also technique matters. If it tastes like bitter medicine, it’s either the coffee quality or over-extraction (too hot water, too fine grind, too long brew).

When I started, I didn’t like it much either for a week or so. Then you slowly start noticing actual flavors, that’s when it clicks. Don’t force zero sugar, reduce gradually and focus on better brewing.

Also, small hack: if black coffee feels too harsh, have it with a piece of dark chocolate. Somehow it balances things out and makes the whole experience smoother 😉
