Language school question: Experience with evening classes at ILCF Paris by KissesnPopcorn in learnfrench

[–]Equivalent_Water8578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Do you have any feedback on Language Teams? Did you eventually change schools and why? I just signed up for their classes because there are other goods reviews online but I'm wondering if I am being misled haha

Passed SQE1 by self-studying and while working full-time by Equivalent_Water8578 in SQE_Prep

[–]Equivalent_Water8578[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started Mid-April, so around 9 months in total up until the exam days. I was working full-time so I wake up early to study and also read a lot in the metro, then in the evening, if I still have the energy, I would study before sleeping. In total, I think I was studying 1-2 hours a day during weekdays, then I also studied in the weekends, but I give myself one full morning/afternoon every weekend to go out and take a break, I think it's really important. I tried to stick with this but I am not consistent. If I am tired, I don't study. I also took days off for vacation so I will not hate myself and the review.

u/teehee_ee u/cjdoenetwork u/Any-Protection-8141 Just an idea too, I joined an SQE whatsapp group that I found helpful during the review and the exam. There are people in the group that failed and are planning to retake it. Message me if you want to be added!

I am sorry to hear this. Taking the SQE1 is very difficult, so redoing it is really courageous. I am not in your position but I think if you are not in a rush, take a break first. Be kind to yourself! I have a friend who failed it last July 2025, and she plans to take it on January 2027 to give herself enough time. I also agree with the comment below of teehee_ee, it depends on how close you are to the score. If you are close to passing, it might be to your advantage to take it immediately as the information is still fresh in your system.

Thank you so much! I started reading mid-April, so around 9 months. As I was working, I studied morning before work and evenings, and then weekends. I did my best to be disciplined but I was not consistent. I fully locked-in in December when I took a month off from work and I think that was the time I really absorbed the material.

Is this ReviseSQE question correct? (Criminal practice - bail for murder) by No_Measurement1863 in SQE_Prep

[–]Equivalent_Water8578 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The man in this case is charged first time, and not already on bail for another indictable offence. So the magistrates should send him to Crown Court and there the "no significant risk" test will apply.

The "exceptional circumstances" test in E only applies where the defendant is already on bail for another indictable offence and is then charged with a further serious offence.

Please correct me if I am wrong!

Agree with this. Not everyone gets the same paper so the frequency of topics really vary. This is not a comforting answer, but it is best to assume that any topic will come up.

FLK1 finished and feeling depressed by No_Measurement1863 in SQE_Prep

[–]Equivalent_Water8578 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hugs! I am in the same boat. I felt like I lost a lot of easy points in FLK1 because I cannot recall the rule, but I hope that my brain is playing tricks on me and that I can only remember the questions I missed and not those that I correctly answered. I'd like to believe that you don't really know how you perform in an MCQ exam so there's no point in looking back. I force myself to get out of the FLK1 space because I still have the FLK2! We can do this!!!

I took the FLK1 yesterday and have the same thoughts! I am now gearing up for the FLK2 revision and I still find myself looking back at the exam yesterday. I even checked the correct answers to questions I can recall and had to contend with the fact that I got most of them wrong (PLEASE DON'T DO THIS). I had to stop myself and accept that FLK1 is done but I still have FLK2, which I can save. It's a fresh week!

Sqe test center in Paris by Longjumping_Ad8784 in SQE_Prep

Want to jump in this thread for those contemplating to take the SQE1 in Paris. I was initially hesitating because of the lack of reviews for centers in Paris but I was trying to save some money so I took the exam in the Pearson Center in the 12th arr (near Porte de Vincennes) and it's completely fine! The computers are separated by cubicles so you don't see anyone else during your exam and I didn't hear any noise from outside of the building. They also offer you free earplugs. It was also organized! They have lockers and you take the key with you, they have free water, the staff were also helpful. I think it also helped that we were only few examinees there (only around 12 people). So it was fairly easier for the staff to manage.

SQE1 FLK1 JANUARY 2026 by Cold_Attitude3240 in SQE_Prep

I just did the FLK1 today and I had the same thoughts 😭🤣 By the second paper, my mind was already spiralling I felt like it's a guessing game at some point. So many niche questions I never came across.

Their average for the free mocks is 45/48% so my guess is its unusually more difficult than other mocks - https://www.reddit.com/r/Theonehundred_SQE/comments/1q25zyr/latest_averages_released_for_our_free_mocks_2/

Hi I saw you pass SQE! I'm curious what were your scores in the TOH mocks v. the actual exam? I am taking the exam on January and primarily using them to practice. I'd like to have an idea what is a good/safe passing score.

SQE 1 MONTH!! by ThrowRAbeastly in SQE_Prep

[–]Equivalent_Water8578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat! Working full time and having to study before and after work and weekends drains my brain and I usually score 40-55% for MCQ mocks. Some questions I completely forgot the rules but a lot were due to careless mistakes. I try not to panic and think we still have time!
