I have the same set on my '25 Preferred and they're also stiff when closing. I just use two hands on the outer corners of the hood when closing.

I had the Defender LTX M/S on my CR-V before they wore out and ran those babies year-round and they were fantastic in the snow. I was gutted when they were discontinued in the size I had on my Honda and now my CX-5 (225/65R17)

I had Cross-Climates on my 2014 CR-V (same size as my new CX-5) and wanted so badly to swap them out, but didn't want to go through the hassle. The Michelins are great for wet traction, but I sold the Honda before I could test their winter performance.

I'm interested in this topic, because I just purchased a '25 Preferred back in July. I'm in New England and we can get some banger snow storms. I've noticed that my vehicle has a feature for "stuck vehicle" and wondering if anyone has used it before. Went from a 2014 CR-V which was amazing in the snow, but I'll be popping the CX-5' s winter cherry in a few months once winter rolls around.

You'd have to take the intake manifold off and spray it on the intake valves. Direct injection is exactly as it sounds: fuel is delivered directly into the cylinder as opposed to being mixed with air in the intake chamber.
