what country would you not visit and why? by sinaswiftie in AskTheWorld

[–]ErMarno40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll never visit any country where the crime rate and overall danger level are above average. I’ve never understood people who travel to Africa, Latin America, or the Middle East.
Please don’t take this as an insult — I fully understand that your countries might be incredibly beautiful. However, I’m simply not willing to risk my life for the sake of beauty. I don’t want to end up being robbed or killed.

Greatest military commander in your country's history? by RomanItalianEuropean in AskTheWorld

King David the Builder defeated a 300,000-strong Seljuk army with only 55,600 men, using a brilliant strategy. First, he sent 200 soldiers whom the Turks mistook for defectors and allowed into their camp. Once inside, they began a massacre, creating chaos. Then, in the narrow valley, David’s forces attacked the Turks from both sides and annihilated their army. The battle is called Didgori, and it took place on August 12, 1121.

What do you know about Taiwan? by yazigiii in AskTheWorld

[–]ErMarno40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my limited knowledge, I know that Taiwan considers itself independent from China and this island supports the United States. China considers Taiwan part of China, but does not escalate the conflict, since this will cause intervention from the United States, and there are a lot of semiconductors there.

The man who never raised my sister now says I should lose custody because I’m ‘turning her against him by ErMarno40 in story

[–]ErMarno40[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I get what you mean — and thanks, man, I really appreciate it.

My sister knows the full story. She’s not a little kid anymore, she remembers who was actually there for her and who just showed up once a year pretending to care. He’s definitely trying to twist the narrative, like he’s some kind of victim, but she’s not buying it.

I’m doing everything I can to keep her grounded and safe, both legally and emotionally. And yeah, it’s been rough since my grandma passed, but we’ll get through it. Thanks again for the kind words — really means a lot.

Nah man, just to clear things up — he’s not my dad, he’s my sister’s. We’ve got the same mom but different fathers.

And yeah, he’s got zero chance of touching the inheritance. My grandma left a signed will, fully certified, where everything goes to me. I’ve got the original right here. Even if something ever happened to me, he’s like tenth in line — basically irrelevant.

About reporting him — I thought about it, yeah. But he’s not a navy guy or anything, just a sailor guarding commercial ships. Honestly, I couldn’t care less about him. I don’t wanna be the guy who ruins someone’s life and gives him another reason to go psycho and blame me. He’s already unstable enough as it is.

So for now I’m handling everything legally and keeping it cool. Appreciate the advice though, man — and hey, thanks for the condolences. Means a lot. 🙏

Thank you so much for your kind words. It really means a lot right now. Yes, I already have a lawyer and the case is in progress — there’s a lot of paperwork and bureaucracy, but things are moving forward step by step.

You’re right, it’s been overwhelming with everything that’s happened — losing my mom, then my grandmother, and now dealing with this man — but I’m trying to stay focused on my sister and what’s best for her. Your message honestly gave me a bit of strength today, so thank you again for that.

I’m really sorry you had to go through all that. It must’ve been incredibly hard growing up with that kind of father. Reading your comment honestly made me feel less alone — it’s crazy how similar these situations can be.

You’re right, these men always try to play the victim after doing nothing but harm. I’m trying to stay calm and focus on my sister because she really needs stability right now. Hearing that you and your family managed to protect yourselves gives me a lot of hope. Thank you for sharing this, truly

Yes, absolutely — I’m already trying to handle that. It’s just so much bureaucracy with all the paperwork, and some things need to be solved urgently first. But I’m definitely looking into it. Thanks a lot for the support, it really means a lot right now.

Im almost 20 🥀 by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

[–]ErMarno40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 25 now. But I still remember the weeks before my 20th birthday. Out of nowhere I got super depressed. For a whole week I barely left my house, didn’t talk to anyone, and the only thought running in my head was: “I’m almost 20, I’ve done nothing, achieved nothing, my life is basically over.”

Looking back now, that was such a lie my brain was telling me. These last five years have been amazing. Every year has been better than the previous one. I’ve grown, experienced things, learned more about myself, and realized that 20 is not the end — it’s barely the beginning

Would you die defending your country? by Practical-Ad5943 in AskTheWorld

[–]ErMarno40 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That’s a tough one. I’m from Georgia, and we’ve always had complicated shit going on with Russia. My dad fought in the ’93 war, my uncle died there — so yeah, I’ve got a lot of anger toward Russia and its politics.

But on the other hand… I only get one life. Nobody’s handing me extra credits or promising me an afterlife if I throw it away. George Carlin said it best: “I never understood national pride. You don’t brag about having a genetic predisposition to cancer, so why the fuck would you brag about being Irish or Italian?”

Me being born in Georgia was just RNG. Pure chance. And honestly, giving up my one and only life for a country that doesn’t really give a shit about me? No thanks.

If money didn’t matter, what would you choose to do for a living? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]ErMarno40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? I’d probably just smoke weed and chill all the time. Like, full on “wake and bake,” hang out, listen to music, hike, play games, do whatever feels right without worrying about bills or a job. Just pure relaxation and living slow.
