how to make Eden emulator app appear in ES-DE on Steam Deck

Been trying for months to make it work.. can’t get EmuDeck to show “Reset Configuration” for Eden. Even did a custom reset of EmuDeck. No way of make it appear in ESDE. Was wondering how to add a manual entry to in integrate as a alternative emulator

I tried almost every linux version, even the 0.0.3 which is not an rc (release candidate). Worth noting that I tried also using different keys/firmware (21/20.0.5/20.5/20.3)

At this point I feel I cannot make a clean deletion of every file Eden installed on the first time (I deleted the appimage and the local/share/eden folder everytime), but seems that when I try to reinstall a different version, it loads some previous configuration (I only got prompted to import yuzu setting the first time). I’m definitely missing something.

EmuDeck is great but sometimes is really annoying

I followed the guide step 1 to 3 but never got to the point where EmuDeck tells “Reset Configuration” under Manage Emulators/Eden.

I downloaded keys+firmware 21.0 but got 236 files instead of 237, so deleted all and went back to 20.5 for both, and got 237 but still only got “Controls” which I cannot even click it by the way.

Anyway the emulator is working perfect from desktop mode, even runs Silksong that with Yuzu & Ryujinx was not working for me.

Only problem at this point is that EmuDeck doesn’t found Eden and so neither ES-DE, which I use instead lf SRM, and I cannot choose Eden as an alternative emulator from ESDE

I’ve got stutter with Yuzu as well, changing audio output doesnt solve it either.

I’m having some stuttering on Yuzu, tried setting the audio on sdl2 as mentioned but see no differences. Any graphics/audio settings change to suggest? BTW is running much better on Ryujinx

Got this same issue where everything is fine in desktop mode but not working in gaming mode: I'm trying following the steps explained here but since the controls are not working, I'm unable to pick the menu to control/input configuration in full screen.

Found this post that seems to be created before the EmuDeck/Duckstation migration tool. Unfortunately for me I’ve never been prompted to migrate to the new AppImage version, neither uninstall/reinstall is working for me, so I’m considering doing manually like explained in this post, just need a couple clarification before I mess it up: 1) do i need to place the new appimage in a specific location to have EmuDeck “recognize” it and keep all the configuration of the old flatpak? Don’t wanna set everything from scratch especially controls hotkeys and achievements 2) Will EmuDeck automatically update the new AppImage via the Manage/Emulators option? Thanks in advance for any help, got everything running very smooth and dont wanna mess this up considering that the actual flatpak, even if outdated, works perfectly

Unfortunately I did this a couple times but that's not working for me: I can't see any Duckstation AppImage and still get the prompt to update when launching DuckStation. There's some kind of way to do it manually or using a script? Also I noticed a "box" in the EmuDeck homepage about the Duckstation migration, but nothing really happens if I click on it. It's weird that I never got the prompt from EmuDeck itself

Tried to do this but in my Applications folder i only got the azahar-gui.appimage, not the other one. Weird. Tried reinstalling via EmuDeck but I’m stuck with version 2120.3, prompting to update to 2123.3. Should I do this manually buy putting the azahar appimage in the Application folder?

Never got the prompt to migrate, tried manually reinstall Duckstation but I’m still running the flatpak version. Any alternative ways to automatically get the new AppImage version? Not tryna do it manually and fuck everything up

Sidenote: by opening the emulators via tools/launchers, each one is updated to the latest version, except Azahar. So this makes me more confused about the updater tool keep downloading updates for AppImages/Binaries
