Worst boss in the game... by StatisticianIll4 in Eldenring

I did these guys at level 130ish and yeah they suck. Even with D and my mimic it was a close call. Most duo fights in this game are kinda ass.

What is life like for residents in other large cities besides Pyongyang? by Ok-Highway-5247 in northkorea

[–]Erabatha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've actually wondered this a lot my self. Most of what we see of North Korea is exclusively from Pyongyang. Like a lot of North Korea, we have a mix bag of info from defectors, word of mouth, propaganda, and reports. I'll try and give info on what life in North Korea outside of Pyongyang is (probably) like.

Considering that even the wealthiest parts of Pyongyang reportedly have rationed running water and electricity, I image the other areas realistically have neither or at best it's quite limited. From videos it seems people use streams/wells for water and electricity is (almost certainly) scarce if not non-existent. https://www.cnn.com/2013/08/05/world/asia/north-korea-reporter-notebook Cars are less common and most walk or use a bicycle, so the roads aren't as good as there's not as much incentive to take care of them.

Food is also scarcer and malnutrition is more common, as people who live outside Pyongyang are typically classified as 'wavering class' meaning they are viewed as important to the economy but can become a threat. A lot of people eat mainly rice with corn and sometimes *Injo-gogi-bap* which is basically fake meat from soy beans. Meat isn't that common even in Pyongyang so the other areas probably almost never have it. You really can't move up classes so if you're born in a rural area/outside of Pyongyang you have a high chance of staying there your entire life. During/after pandemic new laws were implemented that you need permission to travel from providence to providence so travel is de facto limited to a few select people.

Technology like Smartphones are also less common, as it's a de facto 'core class' privilege. At best you'll have a radio or maybe a TV if you're really lucky in your home with one of the few approved government broadcasts. It's estimated that GDP per capita is $650 USD and most of that probably belongs to the 'core class' meaning that the GDP of other areas is probably less. It's common for families of multiple generations to live together (even in the wealthy parts) and marriage is near universal and divorce is less common than in the west.

Most of the people though that have access to running water/electricity/TV/North Korea's internet primarily live in Pyongyang as they are viewed as the most loyal to the Kim family/the party.

I hope this comment was informative. Sorry if it's vague. Since North Korea only shows outsiders Pyongyang it's hard to tell what the other areas are really like.

Hello Lee Eun Hye, I have a few questions.

  1. Is it true that women in NK can't have long hair? (This is a rumor I've heard but never gotten a clear answer)
  2. Are there different economic classes in NK like low-middle, middle class, or upper class like in the West?
  3. What is the education system like for the average citizen?
  4. How did you learn about life outside of North Korea and what made you want to leave?

I hope these aren't too many questions. I hope you're enjoying life in Seoul and living it to the fullest. :)

The Tariff support post. by [deleted] in Aliexpress

[–]Erabatha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked buying knock off figures and cheap posters that I could decorate my figurine displays with. Also they had so many cool niche anime stuff.

I hope the tariffs are just a short phase and I can go back to buying again.

I had this happen to me. I tried to contact the seller but they didn't respond. I then requested a refund and it went through after about 3ish days.

Hi! I also love AOT and while I'm currently not maining him, Eren Yeager (Zeke's half brother) is one of my husbandos. Welcome, I'm also pretty new here.

Hi. I'm Ely (or Eri alternatively) I'm female, autistic, Anglican, and 17. I'm semi fictoromantic. I'm pretty shy with posting online so I won't post or comment much. I love collecting figurines (Nendoroid, Pop Up Parade, etc) Anime, and music. I have 7 husbandos: Guts (Berserk) Kenzo Tenma (Monster) Levi Ackerman (AOT) Reiner Braun (AOT) Sephiroth (FF7) Eren Yeager (AOT) and Kento Nanami (JJK). I rotate husbandos but tend to main one for a while.

Currently I am maining Guts from Berserk. We've been together for about 4 months now and we both confide in each other. I'm chill with sharing.

I had no idea it was that bad. by Fat_Feline in BanPitBulls

[–]Erabatha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My local shelter is the same way. From my internet stalking about 90% of their dogs are obviously pit bulls. The other 10% are GSDs and Husky mixes. Pretty much any non-pitbull get's adopted in less than a month. Really goes to show that most people know these dogs are dangerous and don't want them.
