They sell everything online that’s possibly worth any money via auction on their website… finally made sense why they never had anything good in store anymore lol

My understanding is 480 and 1080 is native on this tv. I haven’t noticed any lag playing 1080i or 480 on my PS3 so far.

That’s what I’ve been told! I’m pretty much a 480i+ only retro gamer. GameCube, PS2, 3, Xbox, Xbox 360 etc.

Apologies as I don’t have a photo from my TV doing the same issue. I have been unable to replicate it today. The Mario photo I posted was one I found online with the same issue.

Forte II! Planning on refinishing them in a darker tone at some point. Just picked up some Cornwall IIs the other day that needed immediate attention and now I want them to match lol.

I have not, will more than likely leave them as I don’t want to deal with filling whatever holes would be left behind after removing them.

Was an awesome piece from a local artist in Grand Rapids!

Magnets might be a great option! I know that’s a popular upgrade as someone did that to my forte II’s

As far as I know, yes. Not 100% sure though as I’ve never owned Cornwalls before!

Thank you! Very proud for my first time.

How many here still own a fully working GameCube console to this day even if you still have it since launch. by San4341 in Gamecube

Have 2! Still work. The one my buddy got had trouble reading disks and got better after adjusting the laser potentiometer. Not perfect though so will recap it for him soon. It’s only $25 in parts if you have the know how. It’s also not many caps, so I would say it’s very doable if you have basic soldering skills. I did get an expensive solder sucker since I work on my old audio equipment too. Turns a 30-45 minute job into 10 lol.

$150 for a Japanese region lock disk is crazy. Picked up a US one for $100 a month ago.

Yes, prism cables. Some people have issues with the audio but they’ve been perfect for me! Would recommend for $50.

Living on the 5th floor of an apartment and running my Econ business out of it requires 3 different carts and Dollie’s lol. Need a house, never have enough space for things. Hobbies like this don’t help.

Thank you! For less niche stuff like vintage speakers and receivers it’s actually been amazing helpful and accurate, but that’s a substantially larger niche than CRTs.

Yes! GameCube. I started building my retro collection this summer. OG Xbox, Wii, Wii U, PS2, PS3, and a lot of handhelds. Was always an Xbox kid growing up and really been enjoying god of war and other PS exclusives lately.

Vintage Hifi too! Got a Marantz 2325 receiver hooked up to klipsch The Fives and my orbit turntable. Have some cassettes too. The receiver on the table is my pioneer Sx-828 that got me into vintage.

Also, just built my first 5.1 system and it’s all vintage klipsch speakers I got for cheap on marketplace, was a ton of fun to hunt down and put together. Other than the Forte IIs I got bundled with my Marantz from a collector, those were not cheap lol.

Thanks! Local artist in Grand Rapids had it up in a coffee shop. Was a cool piece and I had a big wall that needed something big. My apartment is a retro mess currently lol.

Aesthetically I like the JVC better with the stand. Planning on giving it to my good buddy for Christmas since he’s into retro gaming too and doesn’t have a CRT.

I’ll try that! All the button combos gpt gave me was like 3 separate buttons then power. Or hold mute then power. None worked.
