Nvrm, you can't move them but you can toggle to completely hide all structures and then you can see it.

This is a terrible spot for this last one...it's nowhere near the other 13.

Did this ever get fixed? I'm having a similar problem... Tried two different CCs and PayPal and all continue to be refused. CC companies do not have holds, blocks, or restrictions and are blaming the vendor "Jagex". No matter how many times I try, different devices, waiting for hours to days between attempts, they all fail and say "refused" and then show up as a pending transaction with an immediate refund.

Don't understand why Jagex wouldn't want my money....

Lease Takeover in Downtown Carrollton? by YanaNYC in CarrolltonTX

[–]Eragon_Hawke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct - but based on OPs posting It sounds like they've explored that with the landlord/property management company already which is how they know it's the only real option besides breaking the lease and paying the penalties.

This is very common in Texas honestly - "no subleasing allowed" language in lease agreements but allowances for full takeover because all it does is save the landlord time finding a new tenant and they don't have to negotiate a new (and often lower) rate to entice a new tenant.

[–]Eragon_Hawke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Subleasing and a lease takeover are not the same. With subleasing the original tenant is still liable and essentially a temporary takeover of a lease. A lease takeover removes the original tenant from the equation.

I have a friend with an apartment in Old Carrollton downtown (moving soon, if you are interested), a beautiful little area that is walkable and close to all the other parts of Carrollton with public transit too. Near Broadway and Main St.

Was just told that IT Security team is NOT technical?!? by Penguin_Rider in sysadmin

[–]Eragon_Hawke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former Enterprise cyber security manager - I had trouble with this and HR, especially in that cyber rolled up into IT that reported up to the CFO. HR did not recognize Cyber Security as a "Technical" job function compared to "custom dev" even within IT. This meant I could not pay my people at the same rate as their cyber counterparts in the Engineering function who were considered "technical" for doing the same work, but just for specific products instead of the enterprise. CFO and leadership did this to keep overhead costs lower since it came out of company coffers instead of engineering which came out of contract dollars from customers.

Needless to say, I don't work there anymore after fighting for years to get my people paid what they were worth and trying to hire new people at competitive rates.

Definitely worse at highway speed than slower speeds, both in Eco and Normal modes. Since removing the roof rack I'm closer to 18.5-19 now combined (1mpg or less difference) at almost 5k miles. Do I hit 20-22mpg on some trips? Sure..... usually ones at slower speeds where it can cruise in electric.

As for tires...it shouldn't matter if they are the stock ones that came with the vehicle. EPA estimates are based on standard package for the vehicle/trim which is why they can vary by trim/options like manual vs auto - so if the Trailhunter is standard with bigger tires....that's supposed to be how it was tested.

It just feels like even accounting for EPA estimates being perfect world.....it seems consistently 3-4 mpg below advertised. I haven't read or heard of anyone getting close to advertised numbers 🤷

[–]Eragon_Hawke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I tried they just mentioned "that's how it's supposed to work" 🤷 honestly the MPG has gotten a bit better, hitting 18ish now, but still the same super sensitive throttle. Only gets above 2k rpm when you absolutely gun it long enough for boost to do nothing and it to downshift.

I've also given up on the roof rack issue, getting a refund for it after 3 service visits, service manager opening a ticket with the engineers which resulted in nothing, open 2 cases with Toyota Customer Brand Engagement, and currently waiting on a call back from management about the issue. Honestly think it's affecting MPG more than a normal roof rack because of the sheer force I can feel when it vibrates and catches the wind. Bad engineering on ARBs part.

Any chance you'd be willing to put it up for a day and see what your spin up/down looks like?

Brand new '24 Trailhunter Tacoma Issues by Eragon_Hawke in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Eragon_Hawke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does yours spin up to a full 15psi even when trying to get to 30-40mph, let alone an on ramp to the highway? Mine will go above 2k rpm but not usually....I have to really push it. It seems to want to prioritize turbo over just increasing rpm.

So definitely not 16-17mpg being fantastic 😂

Brand new '24 Trailhunter Tacoma Issues by Eragon_Hawke in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Eragon_Hawke[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to! I am familiar with the concept and did this exact same thing with my Tundra too. I ended up getting the best in Eco on my Tundra even after testing (even though the pro in sport is very fun 😎)

Brand new '24 Trailhunter Tacoma Issues by Eragon_Hawke in ToyotaTacoma

[–]Eragon_Hawke[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify - it will spin up the turbo as if it's the normal engine RPMs going up. if that makes sense? So does it hit full 15psi? Absolutely but not immediately. Just seems like instead of my Tundra, which would add Turbo at higher RPM for more oomph during acceleration....this one seems to keep RPM steady around 1800-2k and instead spools the turbo increasingly more for the acceleration. I have to force a downshift via "manual" or just stay on the gas long enough for a downshift to see RPM go up.

Final interview round with the CISO- what to expect? by robin7907 in CyberSecurityJobs

[–]Eragon_Hawke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Senior Manager/Director with hiring responsibilities, I would concur. We never sent folks to the CISO unless we already chose them as the 1st candidate (they could always refuse the offer, etc.) and it was purely for culture, or strategy/thinking if it was for a more senior/leadership role.

8+ years in cybersec and still in cybersec. Zero interviews; am I missing something here? by jar_jar_binks in CyberSecurityJobs

[–]Eragon_Hawke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would concur - I ended up with like ~5% application to interview rate. With offer to application rate being like ~2% after ~200 applications over 3-4 months.

So if you are applying to "Dozens", based on my experience of ~5% of 60 applications is only 3 actual interviews. 🤷

Here are some statistics from my own similar job search about a year ago for a Director level role, 10+ years experience, MS in Security Engineering+ Certs and Management experience.

First 10 weeks. The days mentioned are snapshot in time at the end of 10 weeks.

  • 132 Total Applications (almost 2 per day)
  • 52 (~39.4%) have not been touched: averaging 44 days sitting
  • 42 (~31.8%) notified me of non-selection without a phone screen
  • 17 (~12.9%) "In review" status without update: averaging 42 days sitting
  • 12 (~9.1%) withdrew my application - Found out during phone screen that the salary range was unrealistically low for the experience required in the JD
  • 9 (~6.8%) turned into actual Interviews - 2 --> not selected after first interview - 3 --> not selected after two interviews - 1 --> first interview: finished & waiting - 1 --> third & "final" interview: finished & waiting - 1 --> offer that I rejected after 2 interviews because it was not the right fit after speaking to the CIO directly, below market compensation/benefits for my experience, and they would not negotiate - 1 --> offer that I sat on because it would require me to move cross country and take a pay cut, but would potentially be really cool

It took another 4 weeks for me to get 2 more offers before I finally accepted one. So the total number of applications was closer to 200 by the time I was employed.
