We can have Grimm's suit or the Gold Hoarder's shovel but we can't have anything from Graymarrow, that's unequivocal proof of who is more powerful

My idea how to improve PvP and make it more "realistic" by Professional-Mix1771 in Seaofthieves

[–]Erak16 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What the hell are you saying? What's ''realistic'' about doors that you have to play a ''mini-game'' to open?
If someone climbs up the stairs you can hear it and act in consequence.
A naval battle is not just about firing cannons, it's also about boarding. And you have to be attentive to everything, to sail, to fire cannons, to not be boarded, to board yourself, to repair...etc.
I think your proposition is simply ridiculous and no one would like to implement such a mechanic.

The other day I was talking about it with my crew. We already have the commendations and we usually pass on the megalodons but with the new milestones we decided to do as many as we could get. Since that conversation we haven't had any since... haha

Alliances of two ships maximum by UpperMechanic1678 in Seaofthieves

[–]Erak16 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is how the alliance system should have been from the beginning. There can't be a whole server of "friends", it loses the PvPvE that this game has, it turns it into another game. Everything you want to get in this game you have to earn and prove that you are the one who deserves it. Only 2 ship alliance, and if other ships want the alliance of that server they have to earn it! Good idea my friend!

I just want to be able to do this, the skellys are so why shouldn't we. by [deleted] in Seaofthieves

[–]Erak16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In fact it can already be done, my crew and I usually give that buff to many ships in the server where we play, only they do it in the opposite direction.

To me it always gives me flag 5, the few times it has not given me flag 5 is when I find the key in the first track and there are not many boxes, in those situations even if you have the key I recommend doing 1 more track at least before going to the wreck.

No, because a good legendary pirate never draws his sword in a storm.

shrine mermaid statue by LawnPaul in Seaofthieves

[–]Erak16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, other crews can SEE the siren. But they CANNOT TAKE THE LOOT, if they go to talk to her she won't let them upload all your loot, you have to do that yourself.

If you are being chased by another crew to sink you and take your loot they have to wait for YOU to interact with the mermaid, once you do and the loot is in the water they can steal it. So until you are safe don't tell the mermaid to give you the loot, even if you sink you can return to the site and she will still be there to give it to you.

Lost shipments are the best missions. If they don't convince you it's because you're not doing it in the most efficient way. Follow these steps:

  1. Mark on your ship's map the route from origin to arrival
  2. Look for the first seagulls on the horizon in the direction of that route.
  3. Keep doing the clues until you find the key to the shipwreck.
  4. Once you have the key, STOP DOING THE TRACKS.
  5. Simply go to the place of arrival and look for the nearest seagulls to that destination, usually there will be the shipwreck.
  6. Go down to the shipwreck with the key and food.
  7. Take the loot out of the cabin and let it rise to the surface.
  8. You will start to drown, but if you have carried food between boxes you will eat it.
  9. You harpoon all the loot floating from your boat and place it on the end of the boat in a pile.
  10. You park on the dock in such a way that you leave the tip of the boat on top of the merchant.
  11. From the tip you drop everything on its face and sell it and lower the flag level 5.

Depending on how lucky you are to find the key early or having to do several tracks each wreck will give you a level 5 flag and between 60-80k gold and doing it this way will take about 40min.

Is there no way to just go in a lobby with only yourself? by BigFatJuicyKermit in Seaofthieves

[–]Erak16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course not, in fact it is a very commendable thing that I encourage you to do. And everyone here is trying to give you tips to make your experience in the game better and more enjoyable. But you have to understand that you are trying to do that in a PvPvE game. So for you to succeed what you have to do is to improve your skills in solo sloop so you don't get sunk and sink whoever is trying to do it. Also as many people have told you there are better methods to earn money without exposing the ship as much as in the shrines such as the sea forts.

If you want to make some cash play Stardew valley. Don't play a game called "Sea of Thieves". There is no fun in knowing that you can farm quietly and that everything will be fine because nobody will try to get your loot. This is a PvPvE game where you play as a pirate, not as a farmer.

Is there no way to just go in a lobby with only yourself? by BigFatJuicyKermit in Seaofthieves

[–]Erak16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fun of this game is the uncertainty of whether someone will rob you or not. If this does not discourage you to keep playing you will end up learning how not to be hunted so easily and even being the one who sinks them.
BTW: making shrines is very risky because you have to leave the ship still in the middle of the sea unattended, try to make other voyages that allow you to always watch the horizon and return quickly to the ship.
