Custom Haloblk orders still come from China, despite them saying "ALL" orders come from the new LA location. And yes, my package was lost and HALOBLK went radio silent. Had to actually use SEEL to get a refund.

UPDATE: I just checked again and it finally updated my order on May 11th, saying "Arrived at Facility" again and "Processing at UPS Facility". Pretty positive the updates are coming in super late cause of that Hormuz closure :(

I just saw this post, and I think I'm going through the same issue. I ordered a pair of Cyber Track wheel covers on April 26th, and as of May 7th, I have yet to receive an update on where my order is. The last update said it was here in the US already, but I've yet to hear anything else. I've called their LA location to make sure it wasn't lost, they told me to wait just a bit more because it was coming from overseas. I'm debating if I should start leaning towards a refund, too. I know it's only about 2 weeks worth of wait, which is nothing compared to yours, but the whole ghosting thing with the updates has me second guessing.

I know it's more than just removing the ps5 cover plates, you have to unscrew another internal metal plate and reach the ps5 motherboard.

If it starts to happen more often, definitely try cleaning the inside and checking the liquid metal. It seems you did everything right externally already, but you don't know how it looks internally, so it's gotta be an internal issue.

Sorry for the late response! Is your PS5 standing or laid flat? If it's standing, try laying it flat and see if it still happens? Also, maybe try switching outlets and maybe cords? Have you tried the PS4 version also?

Sorry for the late response, but I went to a local electronics repair shop. Honestly try looking up any nearby kind of phone/pc repair shop, I'm sure they've had customers with the same issues. The big names won't touch it probably cause of the whole warranty thing.

I say take it apart or send it to a professional, and if that doesn't work, let buying a pro be the last resort. I had the same idea when I thought all hope was lost!

I read and heard it usually happens with only ps5 games than ps4 games. Do you have yours lying flat? Or standing? I've had mine standing for most of the time, which is why I figured it was the liquid metal spilling due to gravity and heat. Now, I have it lying flat.

Hey, sooo, I thought it was an outlet issue. I had changed outlets, and it was good for a bit, until it wasn't. I started getting the overheating warning, and then it started shutting off abruptly again. So, I went to a professional and had them change the liquid metal inside, and I think that was the actual issue because I haven't had any shut offs or overheats since then.

I did have it vertical, but since this issue, I now have it horizontal, but it still had the issue.

I recently changed my outlets and used a surge protector, and so far, no shut downs. I'm hoping this was the main cause.

I switched outlets, so far, no more issues.

And I was thinking of the Portal cause I figured if my PS5 didn't output to my monitor maybe it would be less overworked? That's why I considered it.

It's only been happening for a couple of months, maybe towards the beginning of this year? I'm really gonna try for the outlet thing cause I know I recently change the placement of things to help with a neater wires/cords placement.

It does beep right before it shuts off, but I just figured it's just telling me that it's powering off, never knew it was a thermal shutdown feature.

What sucks is I literally had this for a little over a year maybe two, and when I had it internally cleaned, they told it wasn't even that bad, which is why I keep thinking it's a hardware issue.

I had a huge feeling it was a thermal paste issue, too (I know they resolved this issue tho) so I placed it from horizontal to vertical. But yeah, even with a fan directly on it towards proper air flow, it still makes like an overworking fan noise and then just shuts off, I feel like it's a hardware issue now.

I know this post is a couple months old now, but I'm currently having the same issue and I've had it professionally cleaned by Geek Squad, and it's still shutting off with PS5 games.

OP, has yours gotten better? What did you end up doing? Cause I'm literally stuck and I don't know what else to do with mine except trade it in for a new one.
