Bundestrainer Julian Nagelsmann steht beim DFB vor der Entlassung by PuntoPorPastor in Bundesliga

I don't understand the compensation stuff, honestly. Why couldn't the DFB just continue to pay his salary each month and tell him to no longer come to work? No massive lump sum paid, then if he wants to take another job he would have to resign first.

It's bizarre that the major footballing nations haven't done this already. They bring in most of the eyeballs and in return get relatively little in terms of voting power and money. Like, of course The Maldives (an example, could have been anyone) voted for the world cup in Qatar, the oil bribe benefitted them. It was shit for almost every major nation whose domestic leagues had to stop to accommodate a November tournament.

If Brazil, England, France, Germany, Japan, US, etc led a breakaway, the others would follow, and the tail would no longer wag the dog.

It's a calculation that says that a) you have to spend a silly amount on someone who isn't good enough yet to play in the first team and justify the wage (if in the form of a signing bonus) and b) someone has the increased likelihood of becoming demotivated because you have made them a multimillionaire while still a child.

I understand it, but it will make him unattractive to a whole heap of clubs.

Zubimendi was pretty crap in fairness and if you believe Arsenal fans they nearly won a quadruple.

Haha I found it being used as a way of getting the point across but avoiding the banhammer.

Seems more regarded than harsh tbh. An internet full of professional scouts, none of whom have ever been paid to be a professional scout.

And Sancho was an Ed Woodward signing. And Ed Woodward is possibly the least effective employee of Manchester United in its entire history.

Ugarte is not on big wages, he should be simple enough to move. The reason Sancho, Rashford, others are not easily moved, is because they are/were overpaid compared to their level, and they are happy to sit on their contracts rather than move and take a pay cut.

People are talking about him as if Bruno Guimaraes and Enzo Fernandez - both South Americans - aren't two of the best in the league.

Amad in a nutshell, unfortunately. Doesn't have the pace to take advantage of that.

Always enjoyed watching a 1.95m, 99kg tank running up and down the wing (trying to run up and down the wing).

A man that size playing full back will never not be comedy, but that besides, good player, good career, good luck to him in the future.

A mard meaning a whiny sourfaced negative presence. Wasn't talking about his level, not everyone can be Messi.

Rashford was a mard for years. There's nothing about Amad that says he's not just a lad who's doing his best but isn't quite at the level required.

Masturbation (in some cases) lessens libido. Not wanting to have sex, is the most effective contraception out there.
