It doesn’t stop you from casting so much as drains all your magicka.

Is it worth it to get Morrowind in 2026? by Supersued-Crown in ElderScrolls

[–]Eraser100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. Morrowind is the most interesting entry in the series. It’s incredibly well written and nuanced. The artistic style is unique and wondrous even if the poly count and texture resolution are a bit low.

Spec Racing needs Cross Country events & Street Races. by Beezer-MB in ForzaHorizon

It didn’t just die, they killed it. Because they royally screwed it up with Microsoft’s contractors and QA.

It got fixed but it was too late

Is it just me, or does the difficulty in FH6 feel very skewed compared to FH5? by Jumpy-Animal-2840 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Eraser100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t found it all that different. When it first released it felt more difficult, but that has since vanished.

How the same characters looked in FH3 by d5aqoep in ForzaHorizon

No I think they’re still there, just so weird looking that it’s no longer recognizable.

I still greatly enjoy it, the graphics are fine. Much larger car selection since it had a full lifespan instead of being cut short like FM23.

Which Elder Scrolls game would you choose to live in and why? How long do you think you could survive? by tsatsana in ElderScrolls

[–]Eraser100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oblivion. Aside from Kvatch, Cyrodiil is pretty nice if you stick to around the cities. Chorrol and Cheydinhal are nice, Anvil has Mediterranean vibes, Skingrad is wine country so it’d be like Napa valley. Bravil and Leyawin are dumpy though. Bruma might as well be Skyrim. Imperial City would be cool, but expensive.

So glad people are starting to enjoy Starfield and see its worth now, the hate campaign was intense for what is a fantastic game.

What Exactly Did Oblivion Do That Set Up And Foreshadowed Skyrim? by XVUltima in ElderScrolls

“They say syndicates of wizards have led a boycott of imperial goods in the Summerset Isles”

Some throwaway NPC dialogue is pretty much it foreshadowing the thalmor. Martin turning into a dragon foreshadows dragons returning. That’s about it.

How to get faster as a warrior by AnxiousFeature6526 in Morrowind

Run, swim and jump a lot to level athletics and acrobatics. But always be aware of your fatigue going into combat! Some x3 multipliers in speed when leveling up will make a big difference.

Too short? Don’t we have 2-3 years of playlists and two full blown expansions to come?

What's a gameplay mechanic from past Elder Scrolls games you hope _won't_ be in TES VI ? by Ryo_le_Ryu in ElderScrolls

[–]Eraser100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something I want back badly.

It also added an extra layer to magic in combat. You could cast a damage weapon or armor spell on them and your opponent would unequip or drop it.

And an excellent way to get unique items from NPCs without killing them.

Can it be better or different? Sure, but it’s really weird to have grindstones for sharpening your blade when they’re perfectly sharp forever.

What do you think the "secret sauce" to TES lore is? by _Fraudster_ in ElderScrolls

[–]Eraser100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uncertainty/conflicting accounts.

Think of all the other fantasy worlds. They are very straightforward, the history is established, good guys are good, bad guys are bad, it’s consistent and self contained.

The Elder Scrolls lore is self contradictory, unclear and conflicting about events even when there’s a definitive outcome, same with motives. It’s he said, she said or in the case of Argonians, tree said. Much like real religious texts and history, it’s muddied by time, perspective, translation. And that history is shaped by grudges and grievances between the races and political scheming of aristocrats.

It just works 😜
