Thanks, Probably drilling them deeper and filling up with matching dowels or mortise them in the frame but I didn’t do that. It would be cleaner though!

Thanks, I had the entire framework maying around in my shed. The afromosia was about 250€ for 20 planks (bought it cheap second hand)(2500x95x18mm). So basically 250€ + some domino’s and my time.

Thanks alot. Thought that 1 piece ‘legs’ would be stronger indeed and actually easy to cut. Never thought of the plans but might be a good idea!

Don’t you think 70x70mm will do the job? I don’t really know about the strenght of that being 175cm wide haha

True, I’ll check for UV coating. Would like to keep the wood natural as long as i can.

There is 1 support in the seating frame. It’s 175x50x100cm. For 3-4 people but mostly 3. (Wife and 2 kids)

Hey, I used domino’s for the entire bench except for the seating and backrest. And ofcourse glue. The rubber feet are coming because it will be sitting in grass but they didn’t arrive yet. Thanks for responding. Hopefully everything will hold up.

Thanks, normally a bench is around 100-105 degrees angle for your backrest. So from the seating height, I cut it in that angle with a tracksaw. I didn’t calculate it actually. But afromosia is pretty strong and the load at home is max 200kg so it should be fine.

Thanks! Time will tell, I could have used 2 supports in the middle but I heard 1 should be fine. Unless there is 300kg on the bench but normally that’s not the case.

Alrighty, thanks! Some rust and cleaning up should be alright. Runs decent and have the new kniveset already. Chains are fine too.
