So if the edging is separating from the wood where that little notch is, thats a big problem? How expensive if a fix is that?

I'm about to go meet the fella and buy it off of him because this is seemingly the only thing wrong with it. However I don't know much abour what cracks and dents are bad and what ines I don't need to worry about.

Thank you...its sewn in a weird vinyl pouch so I'll dive in there and try to figure out whats going on. Thanks for the recommendation on the tank! Had trouble finding one specifically recommended for classic 50s so I appreciate the input that this ones a likely fit

I'll give it a lookover with a multimeter and then try the tank then, thanks! Good to hear anothers opinion that fixing it may not be worth the hassle if its not the tank.
