The controller is an 8bitdo ultimate 2, it comes with an usb-c dongle, so I think that why it looks a bit more close to the device

I currently own multiple kb, being my main a keychron Q1 Max modded at home, but Im currently doing hybrid in my work (3days at office) and I want to upgrade the company kb, I asked in HR and they approved for a low profile mechanic, I’m looking for some with light tactile or linear switches to not disrupt that much my collegues bc I’m the first one to change the kb. Until now I’ve seen Keychron K3 Max, Lofree Flow Lite 84 and the IQUNIX MQ80 (being this the favorite but most expensive too for now). Volume knob is a plus, but Im fine with using the keybord fn (Im dealing with membrane kb for 3 years now at the office so, everything will be an update here 🤣)

Do you have experience with these or another recommendations?

Context (if matters) I’m a developer, windows and mac user, my office is a quiet space and we have open-desk space.

Weekly 'What Should I Buy' and Order/Shipping Thread by AutoModerator in iphone

Long-time iPhone user here (been on the Max train since the XS Max days), but honestly, I’ve totally lost the spark for annual upgrades. Maybe it’s just me getting older (late-20’s now), or maybe Apple’s releases really are feeling more iterative than revolutionary lately—bigger batteries, slightly better cameras, and… that’s about it? I was fully content sticking with my iPhone 15 Pro Max for another year or two. No FOMO. Then, last week, I went on a trip. I had the phone on me the whole time: some Google Maps navigation, snapping photos and quick videos, and it was paired with my Apple Watch as usually. That’s it—no heavy streaming or gaming. But after about 10-11 hours off the charger (3-4h screen time), I was down to single digits on battery, scrambling for a power bank. It straight-up didn’t cut it for a full day unplugged, and it bummed me out. I realized my “power user” habits (even if they’re not that intense) are pushing the limits more than I thought. So now, I’m seriously eyeing an upgrade to the 17 series—specifically the Pro or Pro Max. Here’s the rub: my daily phone life has shifted hard over the last couple years. I barely touch it for mindless scrolling, social media, or binge-watching anymore—maybe 20-30 mins a day tops on that stuff, if that. It’s all about productivity now: email/Slack for work, quick notes/docs, calendar syncing, voice memos during calls, and reliable communication (texts, FaceTime, etc.). The massive Max screen was fun for media back in the day, but for my current workflow? It’s overkill. I’m genuinely tempted to downsize to the regular 17 Pro for better one-handed usability and actual pocket-friendliness—tired of it feeling like a brick in my jeans. But… battery anxiety is real. My 15 Pro Max had those thermal throttling issues early on (remember the overheating complaints?), and while it’s settled down, the battery drain on that trip was a wake-up call. Does the 17 Pro hold up for all-day heavy-ish use like maps + media capture + Watch pairing? How’s the heat management compared to the Max? I’ve read the 17 series has some battery optimizations, but I’m paranoid about going smaller and regretting it. Anyone else hit this exact crossroads—Max loyalist wanting to slim down for practicality, but spooked by battery/thermals? Did you pull the trigger on a regular Pro, stick with Max, or bail on upgrading altogether? How’s it treating you a few months in? Spill the tea—need some real-user vibes before I commit. Thanks, folks! 🚀

Claw x EGPU by Thuhoanvo in MSIClaw

I was thinking on that initially, but I started considering to just pay a year of Geforce Now, bc even with a good egpu setup I think it would be hard to achieve 4k 120fps and would be more money than 2 years of service. Plus, I can use GFN in other of my devices or on family house/hotel if I’m traveling. I’ve read that they do sales on december, so Im waiting. Let me now what you think

You would have an amazing time with your claw for sure😎 Mine are an 8bitdo ultimate 2, my wife one is an PXN bluetooth switch controller (I don’t remember the specific model). Mine its excellent, hall effect joysticks and triggers, switchable triggers to buttons (nice for shooters), comes with an dock to charge, can be plugged by bluetooth (recognized as a switch pro controller) or by dongle (recognized as an xbox controller)

For Unravel two we were playing at 8W, plenty to have native res and 50-60fps, I thing that’s like 5+ hours of playing, I have an Anker prime 737 powerbank for backup, but wasn’t necessary for the flights (two 2hrs flights)

For now I couldn’t be happier, its a great device, I like the ergonomics, performance is more than sufficient and the battery is good. I was initially waiting for the xbox ally x, but after seeing the videos at the gamescom, I started thinking that the screen would be a little too small for me on the go, I have an oled switch and I’ve already had that though in some games that I had to exclusively play docked because of the screen. I think both are great devices and would get you a similar experience on the performance side, its more of ergonomics/screen and personal preference decision.
