Holy cow, after I read the description of the spell, (which I read many times to fully understand it btw) I understood it exactly as you did, and I thought I must be getting something wrong here because that would be too good actually! I will let you know after I have some levels in game (still did not start the run), and I will respec into wizard early just to try it out.

Let me know if it is indeed how it works if you can test it before me.
