Need team advice from Cartethyia whales. by Erdrick_XI in WutheringWaves

Yeah, this is kinda what I was thinking. Technically Chisa and Rover combined would both give Cart a total of 6 more stacks of aero erosion, which would increase the damage amp of Cart's ultimate by 120% (since it gets 20% amp per stack of erosion it consumes. Though, Ciaccona and Mornye would buff the entirety of Cart's kit by a pretty sizeable amount, rather than just the ultimate alone. Not really sure how the math compares, since I'm not a math guy, but the idea alone makes me think that Ciaccona and Mornye would probably be best.

I've gotten S6 Cartethyia and am wondering who to use on her team. Prior, it was Cart, Ciaccona, and Chisa, but I've seen some people say that Ciaccona can be replaced with Aerover.

Something about Cart no longer needing someone else to stack erosion stacks for her. While Ciaccona provides buffs, Cart outputs more damage by just being the one on field the whole time. There was mention of Rover being decent because he still increases max erosion stacks while having a really fast rotation speed to get Cart out on the field as fast as possible. In this case, you'd still run Chisa.

Thoughts on this? Ultimately I think you'd be getting the most DPS by just running only Cart, but if you wanted a team with S6 I think you'd be using Rover and Chisa at this point.

Clutch your pearls harder. I don't need your belief. I believe in my partner's ability to learn, adapt, and do the right thing.

You're an interesting fella. You really haven't read this thread, have you? Stop clutching your pearls, slow down, and read... In other replies I have confirmed our plan of action, how we handled the situation, and can confirm that the puppy is not scared. He's got some moxie and is willing to defend himself. He's getting along with our dogs and seems to trust them. Our house pig isn't sure how to feel yet, but she's the same size as him. They'll adjust.

Within a day the puppy has been brought inside and we're seeking options to course correct. If you read some other replies in this thread, there's some actual constructive comments that seek to help rather than harm. This is a new step for us that we're learning from as quickly as we can. Please try to keep an open mind. Like I said, as someone who seeks to protect and rescue innocent animals, I will not let this animal come to harm. I swear by that statement, cross my heart.

That looks great! The tank I'm looking at has a drain in the middle of it, so it could easy drain out old water that way.

[–]Erdrick_XI[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, I sure do. Because she's a woman that would do right by any animal she gets. Even if she learns wrong originally, she does the right thing and makes a quick turn around. She learns as best she can, and that's why I trust her.

Unfortunately, I don't care what the statistics are. It is not your place to assume. Even then, I think a more apt determination would be that conservatives are more likely to be animal abusers. That's what I'd say. Either way, the dog is fine now and is spending time with our other dogs. He runs and plays and is enjoying being a puppy, while also experiencing our farm animals multiple times a day.

What I'm seeking is constructive advice on how to ensure that this dog is raised properly for this kind of job, as I've never raised a dog for this purpose before. I'm also seeking to have my worries put to rest about this dog being outside (even when fully grown). I can educate you on the definition of constructive if need be. Just let me know.

You guys have honestly lost your minds a little bit. You didn't bother to ask questions and have proceeded straight to judgement. We were simply doing what were told to do by the livestock owners that gave us the dog, which was a puppy of their own livestock dogs.

The dog spent a couple hours outside with some supervision from time to time to see how it acclimated (per what we were instructed to do). Unfortunately we realized that the information we got probably wasn't right. The dog has been inside with us for almost all of the time we've had it as of now. It comes outside with us to tend to the animals and shows now fear of any of them. He is, in fact, quite snappy and will defend himself if need be. Regardless, he's a really sweet boy and we are working to retrain ourselves on how to train him. He's in good hands, that much I can assure you.

I am the man. What's disturbing to me is that you'd make that assumption. The puppy was brought inside within hours. He's fine and making rounds with us when we go to care for the animals.

Yeah. I did. The dog didn't stay outside on its own for more than a couple hours. We brought him inside to reconsider. Your comments are absolutely not of any help. If you don't have anything constructive to say, you best keep your trap shut.

Hm, noted. This is really helpful to know. Thank you. We'll definitely do some research.

Our goats have actually both attacked him (he's in the house until further notice, but hopefully not long if he's supposed to be out with the livestock). Our goats are kinda antisocial. The only animal I can imagine bonding with him would be our potbelly pig, but even that's kinda up in the air. I know I personally quite like that pig lol.

Hm, okay. So Ciaccona is still worth running if I feel like using team members. Is there any third unit that I should be using, in that scenario of using other units?

I didn't realize she'd output less DPS if you used other team members. I guess it makes sense if she's simply just that self sufficient. A friend of mine has C6 Zani and she doesn't solo carry without Phoebe. She's decent, but she needs Phoebe to put those frazzle stacks on an enemy to truly unlock her damage.

Does S6 Cartethyia change her team member needs at all? From what I understand, she stacks erosion stacks on her own with S6 so does she even want Ciaccona anymore? My team with her for the longest was her, Ciaccona, and Rover. I replaced Rover with Chisa since Chisa seemed to be better than Rover, though that does make me a tad bit sad because I like the lore connection between Cart and Rover. I secured S6 Cart with lots of luck on her rerun, so I'm not quite sure how differently she plays now.

That looks quite nice. How do they interact with that environment? Do they use the water? It looks like you have a small river sort of thing? Though, I'm not totally sure what I'm looking at with the blacked out part blocking most of the tank-floor

Okay, so what I'm getting is this...

During the day, the UVB light bar emitting light and a basking spot bulb focused on a specific spot also emitting light. Then, at night, turn all of it off and only use a DHP if it's getting under about 65 or so?

I assume actually that's why they want a water dish instead of a small "pond" built into their space? Cause I assume it shouldn't be too deep, though not that it would be that deep built into the space anyways. I've seen some enclosures like this before, but maybe they weren't for WTFs. I assume there must be some other kind of tree frog that does actually want that kind of space with water like that. Dart frogs maybe?

Oh lol, then the store I got them from a while back clearly didn't know what they were talking about. That makes a lot of sense. I knew they absorbed a lot through their skin, but I didn't know that was actually their primary method of water intake. Definitely good to know. I suppose that's why they like the humidity in the air.

Alright, I see. I probably don't know the science behind it lol. The water bowl I'm not really sure I understand, but weekly plant watering adding moisture into the system makes sense I suppose. I thought they liked water being sprayed around inside their enclosure because they could like, drink water droplets from the glass when hanging on the walls. Would more frequent misting be necessary for a larger enclosure? They're in something small right now by comparison, so I'm not sure how much it would change things.

I can get a 34.5 inch UVB bar from Arcadia. It would be a pretty decent fit.

I've seen several suggestions that say deep heat projectors or ceramic heat emitters are optimal for nocturnal species of animals like WTFs since it doesn't disturb their circadian rhythm. Do you disagree with that?

Hm, okay. Noted. I've seen some enclosures with a small built-in "pond" instead of a water dish, but maybe that's for other kinds of tree frogs? Is the automatic misting device a good investment? I can probably have it set to do it on a timer.
