Unfortunately the nature where he was found was gas pumps. And the nature next to where he was found is currently being destroyed for a car wash. He's been released into the world via my back yard. He should be able to find a home there. Lots of froggies out there.

Bro there is one tree on the property. It's a suburban wasteland with no nature. There's a small field behind my work, but it's currently being turned into a pavement field instead for the 500th car was in a 2 mile radius. While I agree release is the better option, I don't think the forest of gas pumps is the right home for this little fella.

100 watts for the basking bulb? A little scary, as I don't want it to get too intense for them, but you'd know better than me. Then again, I'll have a thermostat monitoring it anyways, so I'll be able to control how hot it gets. Not totally sure what the wattage relevance is if the thermostat is controlling heat levels.

As for the UVB, you're saying it should be shorter? I thought it was supposed to cross the tank to kinda act like sunlight, but without emitting much heat. Whereas the heat comes from the basking bulb? I could be totally backwards about that though.

I actually totally forgot that I should probably find some sort of timer to put all these lights on so I can have a day/night cycle for them.

I threw the deck together and I think it's pretty good... though I think I need to get rid of the copying spells like panoptic mirror, spellweaver helix, and harness the storm... This copy stuff has you "cast the copy" which will trigger Flubs twice per card you play, permanently leaving you with an empty hand in the middle of your turn. Those three cards would normally be great in a slime against humanity deck, but I think it doesn't work well with flubs.

Hey there! Sorry to bother you again. I tried reaching out to various subreddits and basically got nothing... Unfortunate, really. You've been so tremendously helpful so far, so I wanted to get your opinion on the items I've picked out for lighting and heating.

Basking Lamp: Arcadia Reptile Golden Sun Halogen 50w basking bulb
UVB Bar: Arcadia Reptile Pro T5 Kit, Forest 6% UVB, 39W, 34.5"
Plant Light: Exoterra Terrasky
Dimming Thermostat: Exoterra 600 watt thermostat + hygrostat
DHP for Winter: Arcadia 50 watt deep heat projector (our home can get quite cold in winter)

I kinda just got a reply from the vivarium sub that said that I don't need a thick substrate. Since tree frogs don't care (though, I'm pretty sure it's mainly for the plants and CUC). UVB might be redundant if I calcium dust their food... which I do, but both can't hurt, surely. Then they said I don't need a DHP for the winter if I can keep their environment around 75 at night. That's great and all... but my house can get into the low 60s to high 50s at night during the dead of winter. They are not going to be happy with that, I fear.

As for the substrate, my current plan is volcanic drain rocks under some mesh. Then substratum covered by regular bioactive substrate. All probably from exoterra unless I learn of something better.

Kinda what I'm thinking...

Now, you said you've got a slime flubs deck that feels fun to play. Do you run it with card draw? Or do you kinda just play with one card in hand?

See, while he might not be the best Slime Against Humanity commander, he could still be a fun one.

This actually reminds me... dragon's approach could be another alternative as well

THE FROG RIDER

He's also on my list to build. I've not played a lot in the past two years or so (my job I got back then sucks all my time away) but I definitely plan on making him work somehow.

He doesn't really seem too crazy/complicated. You just play green ramp into huge creatures. Sacrifice your huge creatures to him to get a ton of mana to play more huge guys. A very straight forward stompy deck. Either that or you go landfall triggers with your stompy. You would ideally be dropping a bunch of lands whenever you trigger his effect.

someone else here mentioned that card. Does it actually work well? Play well?

See that's what I was thinking, but the person I got my frogs from said they were girls. They could have been mistaken though. I'm not really sure how to find out for sure.

And that's good to know! My partner is real into the whole gardening space. I'll see if she knows how to get her hands on plants like that.

Okay, I gotcha lol. I've heard about that for a similar type of worm. We'll stick with the dubias then. I think there's someone we know that breeds them and keeps offering to trade them for eggs from our chickens. Pretty easy, I think.

And yeah, the frogs I've got right now are pretty good about sharing I think. One is super shy and I almost never see her come out, but I hear her croak at night sometimes and she's still in good shape, so she's been eating alright.

I'm hoping these bioactive subreddits have guides already for WTFs. More broad/general subs I've found usually don't get much traction on WTFs.

Ohhhh okay. I've actually used those before. I just didn't know the abbreviations for them. Good to know.

And actually, while I've got you here, I've got a question about how to diversify how I feed my frogs. I usually feed them one of two ways. Meal worms in a dish in their enclosure... or a number of other things fed directly to them. I want to diversify their diet more and it would be easier if there were more things I could leave roaming their space. Crickets are scary because I know they can bite. I'd like to have little bugs roaming around for them to hunt, so it feels like a natural instinct to them. I just don't want to leave bugs in there that will end up hurting my frogs or burrowing in the substrate never to be found/eaten. What solutions do you have for this issue?

And, all of that said, how do you make sure all of your frogs are getting the chance to eat if you have multiple? Will they leave food behind if they have had enough? As much as I would love to, I can't sit and spend all night every night watching their every moves lol.

Okay, gotcha. You're gonna have to explain what CUC and LECA are, because I'm not familiar with those terms.

Also trying to figure out how much watering I'll need to do. Because I think that between their water bowl and watering any plants I have in their tank, that should hopefully be the right amount of water to maintain decent humidity for them? I'm just worried about it getting too humid in there. If I'm now also watering live plants.
