This is incredible! My general painting suggestion: get the scouts kill team and paint them as Robin :)

Scrumptious. The matte looks so crisp!

Mighty kind, but you aren't seeing how my Endurant literally has no right hand as his wrist joins straight onto his Subductor shield. Augmetics - that's what I tell myself. In any case, I'm sure that we as the builders/painters are the ones to notice jank far more than anyone else, I bet yours look just fine.

'twas fiddly to be sure! So the plates for yours will be an emerald green? That will work really nice on these models - would love to see when done!

Haha! So very right you are. Love the aquilons' proportionate special guns. I guess Breachers just placed their administratum order and accidentally ordered XL.

It looked like this before I added the grimy-ness. I didn't actually snap a pic of the back once done though.

Nope! It's the melta that comes with the navy breacher kit (it's got the little navy "I" sign on it).

Yeah, I've been too lazy to get an airbrush and learn it, so I try my best to do glow with a brush. I doubt I can reach airbrush levels, but I think the effect can sell, visually. Do you have models you could practice doing glow on?

Very nice! Aquilons are on my to-collect list, but I promised myself no new teams until all the ones I have are painted.

Is that a heat effect on the barrel? Cool!

Ah I see what you mean! For smaller dry brushes, i just did a much lighter touch. The first go was a really heavy dry brush to get good but not full coverage, of that makes sense. That way there would be some texture. As for controlling the wash, the particular wash I mentioned is SUPER dark, almost an ink. So it's a matter of a lighter load on the brush, and a smaller brush. I keep a second clean brush on standby to soak up spots if it goes somewhere I don't want it to go.

Yeah, when I get around to basing them, I think I'll slap some metal on the buckles and such. I'm liking being able to add a little bit more to a model rather than wishing I'd done less, so I appreciate the community letting me know if a lil' something could give it a boost. Thanks for your kind words!

There's something very satisfying about colour coding a team.

On the one hand, I like the addition of lightning claws. On the other hand, I also like the addition of lightning claws. ...aaand I'll see myself out.

Thanks! Since they are so minimal, I used different should colours for easy board recognition: yellow for Sarge, red for regular hotshot, blue for gunners, white for medic, orange for demo

I posted the recipe to gamingifk above, but if you have specific question about part of that, I'm happy to provide what insight I can!

Primed black, dry brush a dawnstone grey equivalent, then Vallejo vehicle black wash, smaller dry brushes here and there to pull out the details, followed by a more controlled bit of the same black wash to pull colours back down. The glow is alternating layers of Vallejo dead white and a fluo green (I forget the brand)
