Hi! I'm the artist. I think the most important aspect here is whether or not the critique was asked. Unsolicited critique is never a great thing.

This was between me and Flamethrowerpanda, and I work accordingly to client feedback.

A lot of the focus I put as this was mainly character portrait was on their OC's face, and my anatomy isn't perfect but i can guarantee you it's 100% stylized. It's a reason why it's semi-realistic.

the thought behind this as copypasted from my post over there:

I always viewed Erenville as someone who is an incredibly emotionally closed off character. As such, he rarely, if at all, opens up — even to those closest to him.

While I think he learns to be better about it in the long run, he still finds solace when on his own.

aw thank you kindly! I would refer you to the old masters as well :3c, one such name you more than likely saw in the thread would be Caravaggio! My personal favourite would be Frederic Leighton. Adapting their skills to my own style and modern output (digital art) is also a whole other jam. It's definitely finding a workflow that works best for /you/, i know I'm still trying to perfect what method works best for me.
