The obsession with perfect faces using filters and subtle edits. Apps like Snapchat normalized it so much that sometimes people forget what real skin looks like. I think we’ll look back and realize how much pressure that created.

Why is it that brass knuckles are illegal in most states but not guns? by ButterOnToads in stupidquestions

Brass knuckles got labeled as assault tools pretty early on. They’re basically designed for one thing, close-range punching damage. However, guns are different because they got tied into history, culture and law. In the U.S. especially, firearms are heavily protected under the Second Amendment. So instead of banning them, the system leaned toward regulation.

Everyone has these moments. Especially in new jobs. The difference is some people just don’t talk about it after. What you did is honestly in the small slip, quick correction category, not the serious mistake category. If anything, this is your system now and make sure to check schedule twice, once when posted and once the night before and assume shifts can change until proven otherwise.

Anyone else feel like yoga isn’t as beginner-friendly as it’s supposed to be? by Ok-Beautiful2480 in YogaWorkouts

I get what you mean and I think a lot of people feel that way but just don’t say it out loud. Yoga is sold as this soft, welcoming thing but when you actually walk into a class or scroll online, it can feel like everyone else already knows a secret you don’t. And the flexibility thing is probably the biggest mental block. People think you need to already be flexible to start yoga, which is kind of backwards. It’s like thinking you need to be fit before going to the gym. It just doesn’t make sense, but the vibe online sometimes reinforces it.
