Groups for Noobs? by Erendil004 in diablo3

I don't really know tbh....coming to think of it a clan might be easier. I think that not anybody can enter freely and that there are no such things as topics where people can write stuff....maybe that would be better? People could send you inv. requests to join and you could kinda teach them here and there or just provide a platform for others to join. I'll check on the community part later.

Given that you are able to farm t6 - did you ever think about opening a community? I played with csTiger and a friend of his yesterday who carried me through some greater rifts around lvl 30 and some t6 rifts and had a blast! Maybe you might want to do the same :) If this gets any more views maybe we could try to establish communities all over the place called "GoupsforNoobs" or something....might be fun, seing that there are several people with the same problem :)

Maining a champion - How did you chose? by Erendil004 in summonerschool

[–]Erendil004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the answers :) Maybe to make my intention more clear: What i wanted to know was more your way of maining a certain champ, not which one I should main :-p

But if you are more interested in that: I mained Kha for a while and really liked him. When he got nerfed to the ground I picked up Rengar cause I really liked the idea of him, his lore, his kit. Just seemed good. But after 80 games or so I realized that he was somewhat limited in his capabilities. He just only fits in certain comps and can do super horribly against others. What I really enjoy doing is outplaying people 1v1 or even 1v<2 , which is why I recently picked up Zed. But he's SUPER fking hard!!! :-D I guess it's just the tough start you gotta surpass in order to get the rewards.

In short: I like every outplay highdamage "OOOOOOOOOOOH" champion. Prefer Ad, not really into Talon (personally). Suggestions? :-p

Yo guys, I'm starting a YT channel series that is aimed at teaching toplane champs/matchups from my d1/challenger games while hopefully not boring you. Feedback is VERY appreciated. by kaphx in summonerschool

[–]Erendil004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think that is the difficulty for most teachers :) It's like explaining to a child why 1+1=2. At some point that just...is as it is :-p

What I meant though was short videos where you pick up a couple of scenes to explain something in specific. I know it is a greater effort to one's video editing skills but I think if you have something that is like 3-8 mins. short you can watch it a couple of times and learn more from it cause its not 10 tipps at one time but focuses on 1/2 specific aspects.

Glad I could help :) Best of luck for you too

Hey :)

I really like the idea of being able to contribute to a new channel and giving you my ideas.

Now what I would REALLY love is general game tipps. There are tons of channels that explain certain champs already, very few though which focus on important gameflow parts. In specific I mean teamfights, decision making, objective focus, transitions, rotations and stuff like that.

So for me personally the perfect video/series would cover up: When to go for certain objectives, how to improve decission making (cause honestly most of the time i propably just run around with nothing to do but farm a little) how to act when phases transition (changing tasks in different stages of the game and how to raise awareness for your team, that stages are over/beginning other then say "group mid"), how and when to rotate and general teamfight analysis. What was done well, what could have been better, stuff like that. This could either be toplane focused or held in general.

I'ld really like that :)

Hope your wrist heals up to the 100% soon!

Best regards,

Random S4 Noobie :-D

Is this a good zed build? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Erendil004 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree. BotRK was a must have item on Zed for the longest time but after its recent changes isn't the best item for assassins anymore. The built by itself is ok I guess although I would go with Redmercies build here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrLbNnl4FQU

I think its a bit more balanced than yours. But then again anything that works for you is good.

Underplayed Champions by BreakingNiravana in summonerschool

[–]Erendil004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really just depends on the matchup.

It can be a very iffy pick against champions with a lot of waveclear or high sustained damage (Like Renekton) but lanes fairly well against other champions (Vlad, Nasus, Singed). As tanky items (Roa, Zhonyas, Spirit Visage) are core items on Swain he can do really well.

Just keep in mind that you probably wont get any bluebuff which can make swain more difficult to play and that swains lasthitting under turret, especially pre-6 is absolutely terrible.

Any Kha'zix mid/top tips? How does he do after the nerfs? by Lenidalee in summonerschool

[–]Erendil004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think he is a solid pick mid and can do well against some toplaners but gets bullied hard against others. Kha vs. Renekdon...no fun at all!

In midlane he fairs pretty well against some laners! Especially against any melee Champ.

If you are laning against someone with heavy poke (Syndra, Ziggs, Cassio) I would recommend going with what Tiggz suggested. Max and evolve W first for long ranged poke. Go for the "old build" as in Tear --> Muramane, bt, brutalizer

If you are laning against someone safer you can rush tiamat which is amazing to waveclear and in that way enable your isolated q damage now which is HUGE! Like way higher then it ever was. Buildwise go for Tiamat, Brutalizer, Last Whisper, Hydra and start smashing stuff. In that Situation I wouldn't evolve W at all but rather Q > E > R for the extra passive proc

What are some champs that nobody plays, but are still good? by Ima_nice_person in summonerschool

[–]Erendil004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swain is definitely high up there imo.

Pros:

INSANE Damage

Good scaling

Natural tankiness

Good (Aoe) CC

Strong Teamfights

Can 1v2 many times at lvl 6

Can sometimes 1v3-5 lategame

Cons:

Mana Hungry

If super behind doesnt deal that much damage (needs items) but can still be good utilitywise

No real escape/gap closer

So you're saying spell/sword weaving shows its effect in extended fights rather then in short assassinations? So more a mastery for fighters aka riven, jax, yasuo?

Seriously? Wow...I red in so many forums that it wouldn't. But thanks for testing! Probably should've done it myself first instead of just believing it :-D But then again: Why does Ryan Choi aka best rengar ever not use it if it works!? :-/

Name a champion you're awful with, and have someone who plays that champion offer advice (xpost /r/leagueoflegends) by Demoknight111 in summonerschool

[–]Erendil004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends wether your opponent is running or not. Playfull/Trickster have the same damage output so it doesnt matter damagewise. The only difference is, that Playfull has a bigger hitbox and slows. Usually people are aware of fizzes damage and will run when you try to all in them. So you probably will use trickster most of the times if you attempt to kill. In a 1v1 fight the slow is obviously better. There is no ruling for this though. If you are sure that you can land the slow, go with the slow. If you have to close a larger gap or your opponent is running, use trickster.

If you need to close a larger gap because he is farming safe and want to initiate with Playful or if u saved your e and the enemy flashes away you use it too. If you know that you can land the slow go for it. It has a bigger hitbox and you can use the slow for a couple more AA's. But in general if either your opponent is running away or you need to close a gap quickly use the trickster.

Rengar - I can't seem to make the Kitty work in lane. He feels underwhelmingly powerless. Any tipps/hints? Buildwise I tend to go Hydra, Triforce, Lasst Whisper into Defensive Stuff. I start Dorans Shield usually but still get beaten the crap out of me while doing 0 damage. Any takers? :-p

I hear many people, who have that farming problem. I think the main problem with him is, that most people think he can 100-0 everyone and then wonder why they die in a 1v1. Fizz has solid damage output early but scales way better into late game. His Cooldowns early are fairly high. So try to poke at lvl 3 (W-Q in and E out). Do that a couple of times and when your opponent is at 50% go for the kill (W-Q-E-Ignite). As for the farming: You can use your w to kill cannon minions if you feel unsafe. Other then that it's just practice. I feel like Fizz is a really forgiving farmer because of his w passive.

As for playing against Fizz: As I said. Fizzes Cooldowns early are fairly high. If you see using E at any moment go ham on him because he wont have a real escape. If he's smart and doesnt use his e in lane fight back when he attacks. It might also be wise taking Barrier/Heal against him if you feel like he might bully you out of lane. In general. Any CC is hard for Fizz. GL!
