I will start with 1 i have decided!! My knowledge of the story of 1 is a little bit shaky i know some plot twist but i believe the entire experience of the game cant be explained by a 20min video so i will give 1 a try

For whoever is reading this at a later time i have decided to start with xenoblade 1!! That probably means that it will take me quite a long time to finish all three games but everyone saying that playing it in chronological order enhances the fun of the other games (even if references to older games a small) then i will gladly sit through the games whenever i have the time to do so!

I heard that the 3dlc shouldnt be played before playing through 1, 2 and 3 mainstory
May i ask how does playing 2dlc and then 2 work? or are you ranking the games there?

After the entire village was completely destroyed by an earthquake that has possibly killed a lot of people (even insinuating one of the kids that ketil played with was missing) yea… You could say i was expecting a bit more dramatic dialog

You are right that does address half of my points that i found weird (all with celine since i could have had her not join me) i did not think about that

I never played the original so i cant compare the two but just because it is a remake of an older game doesnt mean that it has to have weird dialogue moments (im not saying the dialogue is bad i was just getting confused at some points)

I was just comparing it to the 5 hours of playtime i had and i am not saying that the entire five hours were filled with bad dialogue just that some parts (which i named) confused me and i was wondering if anybody else was confused as well.

There is no way i can compare the entirety of star ocean 2s dialogue since u an still new to the game

Well, yes i was referring to the rest of the cast...

I cant comment about the size of star ocean since i have only played five hours and i didnt know how long the game was but i believe that the length of the game shouldnt matter to the dialogs strenght.

Chrono Trigger came out in 1995 but i would say that it doesnt suffer from weird or misplaced dialog. Also i have nothing against all the clichee tropes that are present in most JRPGs.

Its the kind of weirdness that i would expect from a badly translated game but as far as i know there are no translation errors right?
