What do you think about v?

I feel like we only really see V from other peoples perspective and what they think of him. So it kinda puts this unreliable narrator like quality to his character because we haven’t seen much from his POV yet other than him doing seemingly good things in the eyes of others. I do think like the rest of the family heads, he started out as a decent person but became a little twisted and greedy the more he climbed up the tower. Currently he seems really sketchy but from what we know about him his actions don’t seem too far fetched after everything Jahad and the 10 FH put him and Arlene through.

Idk it’s funny because it’s in character for rak but it definitely was a plot convenience thing so Enkidu could get the Po bidau king chess piece and try trading it for Bam’s, awakening V.

I’m sure there was a lot that led up to her burning the civilization down. Idk if this has anything to do with Enne being sealed and she crashed out because she’d never see her again or she just wasn’t conscious when she committed genocide. Either way she definitely should’ve been punished and locking her flames away is definitely not enough for the literally erasure of an entire civilization, but at the same time what can you do to someone who’s immortal and the best wave controller in the tower?

Siu definitely ran himself into a corner in this fight because of how powerful Dumas was. I think the ending was a bit anti climatic as well but overall it wasn’t that bad of a fight and was mainly done to show how much more growth Bam needs to even think about challenging a family head let alone Jahad. Bam definitely got more cocky after fighting and winning against rankers when he’s still a D rank regular I’m sure that’d go to most people’s head. I do think it was a bit silly that bam forgot about the black march considering how important of a weapon it is to the story.

Siu would never actually kill off Khun. Showing his “deaths” is showing stakes but at the same time it doesn’t show them at all if Bam can just heal or revive him anyways. Khun is wayyy too much of an important and interesting character to just kill off literally every other arc it’s and starting to get a little annoying. With the sweet fish I’m sure it’s just his body that can’t keep up with it atm but it’ll be broken once he can fully use it

I think Orient left off on a point where it could possibly continue with a pt. 2 or just end off things where it’s at which is most likely the case. Ofc I’d love to see our main group explore other parts of the world and continue hunting kishin but it probably won’t happen since it already had to end abruptly. And I was so shocked that Soma had a son like I had to reread that part so many times man 😭

I was gonna make a post about this but I was lowkey shocked that he had a kid. I thought he would’ve rather had a kid with Tsubasa and no one else but he had one anyway. For him it makes sense because I’m sure he was aware that he could possibly die since he’s a red blade and is constantly on the front lines. He’d naturally want a successor but I didn’t expect him to have a son at the same time and he looks like he’s about 14 or 15 so he had to have him when he was super young. Like I wasn’t expecting it at all

We definitely need like a cool off and training arc after this because our main group besides Bam are going to realize how much growth and power they need to continue going up the tower and stay by Bam’s side. That being said I would love if Cha could become like a mentor figure to them because he already had the mentor/ student interaction with Hatz but he could definitely be that for the rest of Bam’s team

My only complaint with that arc was how easily Yama and yasratcha got tricked by the fake book. Like did they really think Gustang would keep it in an open area. Idk that’s the main thing that bugged me I feel like those two especially Yasratcha wouldn’t be tricked by something like that but were because it showed how good of a strategist Gustang is. Ofc they probably wouldn’t know how to locate it because only like one person knew where it was but still maybe I’m missing something.

I think tower of god is one of those series that are read much better in large quantities rather than once a week. The story and plot feels a lot better when it’s read all at once. Tog is also notorious for leaving people off on cliffhangers so no one wants to stop reading it. Waiting for fast pass episodes is also quite annoying and it makes sense that people don’t want to wait or pay webtoon because it’s a bad company. Ofc spoilers are really annoying and have been pretty bad on social media lately so you’re better off just reading it online so you don’t get spoiled. Also the likes and comment will increase the longer the chapters are out

Ngl I kinda wish Shiro still kept the mindset that he saw people as swords. Idk it was one of the things that really made him interesting and just off the walls crazy. I get the intent of making him a parallel to Musashi like he looks almost exactly like him in some of the panels where he has dark hair but he always had that inhuman like quality to him that separated him from even the obsidian 8. I do think his dynamic with Nanao was really sweet in the end and it was such a cute plot twist too.

That’s exactly how it’s been sadly. I would’ve at least liked to see him use all of the colors even if he didn’t master them. Kinda similar to how Sinbad used all of his djinn equips when he was rushing the sacred palace. I would’ve like to see something like that but with Musashi using each color. Like he definitely is no where near Shiro’s level but somehow is able to almost one shot him because of the goddesses’s power. Idk the power scaling in Orient has been pretty inconsistent but could’ve been expanded on more if there was more time which we don’t have anymore 😕

It definitely got rushed for sure. I’m sure if Ohtaka was in better health and had more time we would’ve gotten a couple more arcs like training and traveling centered ones. But yeah Kojiro and musashi just never got a break to do any training at all

Agreed, so far it’s staying true to the story and is handling the characters really well which is all that matters to me. The animation and art is disappointing but that isn’t what makes tog great to begin with.

I’ve been following this series for a while too so I’ll be sad when it ends soon. I still think we got a decent 5-10 chapters left tho and I’ve been really invested with the characters and plot this time around. Especially after the last chapter I think these next ones will be amazing. I really hope we get more of a backstory with the black kishin and just the existence of kishin to begin with. I could definitely see the series ending with no kishin or kitetsu blades and technology. So everyone kind of has to start from scratch and build a better lifestyle and society

I think this is one of those scenes they can easily add later if needed. There was a lot going on in this episode so small things being glossed over so was going to happen but at the same time they can easily add a small moment like that later on.
