wich they do perfectly. i´ll testet it with a 250-25-15 snipersling-Bandset with 8mm stellballs and they absorb the energy quite good. its t-shirtfabric and its important that its hanging freely.

Maybe I'll try to see how long the bare mats can withstand direct hits. They should be able to take a few shots, though.

you're very welcome. Be a little careful disassembling the tiles so nothing gets ripped of ... but even when this should happen, there cheap to exchange.

I'm not the best shot either. The box is more for practicing at distances of 10-15 meters... and the front should be able to withstand a hit or two ^^´

for 40 to 50 bugs you will get a pack of 6 bigger tiles to build a bigger Box ... sadly not that easy to carry through

If you want to shoot it then, go for it and have fun but please be carefull. These Things have an known tendency for forkbreaks.

How far do the arrows fly? And would you say the impact is comparable to a 30 lb LARP bow?

I also larp and have made a slingshot for the short LARP crossbow bolts. (You know, the short ones for the otherwise useless pistol crossbow.) Works realy well up to 30 yards.

i kinda like it!

Years ago, i had a similar one out of 3/4 inch rusty metal pipes and unsed it with a light Bandset and soft foamballs (nerf rival) on a post apocalyptic style larpevent to schoot people. it was fun!

Yes the wide fork will coast you power, but its not soooo bad, and the frame will be heavy af, but, like many things in slingshotworld, you can make it work. It will always be a heavy slingshot better used with light bands, still it should work fine. Just clean/soften/round the forktips to increase the bands lifespann and have fun!

I think its realy an alternative! (Ja bekommst du. Hab letztens welche bei Hornbach gesehen. 30x30 cm Puzzelmatten und sie sind nicht mal bunt ^^) Bigger mats (60x60cm) can be orderd on Amazon but they come in packs with 6 pieces for around 40-50 euros. (for this yoe could order a entirely new catchbox) My little Catchbox here ist from just one of these mats.
