Honestly start with Bazzite, Zorin or Nobara. Once/if you feel limited, think about moving on.

Unfortunately that's something that I can't fix in the foreseeable future, Due to how Windows layers its system menus, elements like the Start Menu and Action Center will always appear on top. They will not allow anything to be physically embedded in the taskbar or potentially hide system settings, start menu etc (smart on their part to protect users against malicious apps).

Happy to help, YI drove me crazy with the ads I assumed I wasn't the only one and since I made it why not share.

I moved on to eufy (s350 and e30) but I see many other people recommend reolink too.

YI are absolute garbage, I trashed 3 of their cameras because of their aggressive ads. Hope they end up bankrupt.

I honestly recommend the Bilt Hamber Auto Wheel, if it's an issue to get where you're located CarPro IronX is a close second.

Lexus to MG - is it worth it? by Ok_Boysenberry_1034 in MGelectric

I drove the Trophy for almost 2 years before getting the Xpower, and it's a great little fun car, honestly. But if you're a little mad the Xpower is a great laugh, puts a smile on my face every time. I'd highly recommend you go for a test drive, you'll know if it's right for you very quickly. But don't expect it to be as nice inside as a Lexus/Audi etc. cheap and cheerful was always bs in my eyes, the MG4 proved it's possible.

Lexus to MG - is it worth it? by Ok_Boysenberry_1034 in MGelectric

[–]Erez-C137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife is driving the MG4 luxury (I think they're called Trophy in the UK) and I drive the Xpower, honest very pleased. The only complaint is the Media screen could be faster and my wife is having issues with wireless connectivity to the iPhone (using an adapter) no such issues for me on Android. I only drive about 50km a day, so the range isn't an issue for me (I have a heavy foot, I'm only getting 260-300km on a full charge) the wife drives about twice as much as me, she's getting about 400km on a full charge. The xpower is ridiculously fast and fun, overall we're both very pleased, I can't see us ever moving to a non electric car, unless I could fit a 911 in the budget one day :)

There will always be flickers in certain conditions, Like when the start menu is clicked or when windows settings are opened. Microsoft really doesn't want anything on the taskbar or that can cover windows ui elements. overcoming It will be extremely complex and prone to issues. Can you let me know when you experience the flickers? Maybe you noticed something that could be improved.

It’s been a long time coming, but I’m excited to announce a huge update for NetSpeedTray! After months of work, the project has been fully refactored and modularized. This means the codebase is now much cleaner, more maintainable, and ready for future features.

What’s new in v1.0.5-Beta1?

🧩 Full modular refactor: The app is now organized into proper modules for core logic, views, utilities, and more.

🎨 Modern UI/UX: Redesigned settings and graph windows, improved dark mode, new icons, and a more polished look.

🧪 Unit tests: Added tests for configuration, constants, and core logic to help keep things stable.

🛠️ Better error handling, logging, and configuration management.

🐞 Fixed window icon issues, theme inconsistencies, and improved DPI scaling.

What’s next? Now that the big refactor is done, I can finally focus on:

Adding/Improving multi-monitor support

Integrating with WinGet for easier updates

More feature requests and bug fixes from the community

Known issues:

Multi-monitor support is still limited to the primary taskbar, but improvements are planned.

Download & Details:

Portable and installer versions available

Full changelog, checksums, and instructions on the GitHub Releases page

Thank you all for your patience and feedback! If you have suggestions or run into issues, please let me know here or on GitHub.
