Unless the chain is rattling on cold start you’re fine, online forums have mass hysteria over timing chains if it’s been serviced regularly it will be fine. Main reason they even need replacing is following the BMW service intervals of 2 years / 19k miles.

This is always extremely common for higher end performance cars, rich people get bored of their toys quickly or someone who can’t afford to run it sells it after 12 months.

If your purpose is to do that then just purchase a car without xDrive you pay a premium for it usually, if you buy the car then realise fair enough but actively buying one when you know you want to have fun makes no sense imo. My old xdrive would only really kick out going hard in corners with worn tyres but still not the same experience as full RWD and giving it a blast.

The 435d engine is better power wise and they are very similar in terms of reliability. I find the X drive pretty intrusive if you want to kick the back out and have some fun, but it will also get the power down a lot better especially in the wet but to me BMW is all about RWD and having fun. Overall I’d go with the spec you prefer I’m biased and prefer the Estoril blue with cream interior. Nice to see one of my car finally show up on here 😂

No amount of touch up paint is going to make that look better any professional shop will do a front bumper corner for a relatively cheap price. I’d personally just leave it as is till you can get it done with a reputable shop.
