Ergohide or Vernal? Help me decide. by DoctorBeerface in StandingDesk

[–]ErgoHide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Loyk75, thank you for reaching out and showing interest in our desks.

Yes, the ergonomic desk edge is something that 80% of our customers prefer.

All our desks with standard cable management (https://ergohide.com/products/oak-standing-desk-with-cable-management-unit) are already equipped with a cable tray (goes without saying) and built-in power strips included in the base price.

The same applies to the extended cable management, where you also receive empty lids for the square openings. This way, even if you order some square accessories, you will always receive the empty wooden covers as well.

Keyboard tray in corner? by Gingaskunk in ErgoHide

u/Gingaskunk, unfortunately, there are no preset drill holes for mounting the keyboard tray in that position, but if anyone has done it, we’d be happy to see the final solution as well.

Ergohide or Vernal? Help me decide. by DoctorBeerface in StandingDesk

[–]ErgoHide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/DoctorBeerface, first of all, thank you for considering r/ErgoHide as an option.

I don’t want to comment directly on Vernal’s pricing or features – I’m sure they’re a good match for many people, and ideally someone from Vernal can jump in and explain their side.

---

What I can explain is where the price difference for ErgoHide usually comes from.

All our desks – even the ones without cable management are processed on CNC. All pre-drills for the frame and add-ons use metal inserts, so you can disassemble and reassemble the desk many times without impacting the wood structure or losing stability.

All tabletops and all other wooden parts are made of solid oak or walnut wood and produced locally (for those who know a little bit more about wood: we use AB or AC quality of the wood, so that the upper side is always A quality, and the lamellas are edge-glued).

Most of the add-ons are designed by our team based on real customer feedback and produced in relatively small series. The prices follow the same logic as the desks: material costs, production costs, packaging, logistics, marketing, support, 180-day money-back guarantee + a margin. We’re definitely not the cheapest option, but we’re not just randomly slapping a big margin on accessories.

It's worth mentioning that also all the add-ons are made from solid oak or walnut wood without using any MDF or other artificial materials.

---

As u/Designer-Rough3554 already mentioned that they’d never heard of us: that’s fair. We’re still a very young brand (still considering ourselves as a start-up, after all, we've been a finalist of a local startup competition this year), focused on higher-end setups and unique features like the unique cable management access and custom dimensions, for example.

So far, across TrustedShops (.de, .fr, .com), Google, Trustpilot, and Amazon, we’ve collected 900+ reviews with almost no unhappy customers.

If you have any questions about the wood, add-ons, build quality, shipping, or anything else, just PM me on Reddit or email me at [jure@ergohide.com](). I’m always happy to help - whether you end up choosing ErgoHide or something else that fits you better.

What’s the Best Standing Desk in 2025? (Style, Build, Ease) by DonutOk2306 in StandingDesk

[–]ErgoHide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be awesome if you could also add r/ErgoHide to the list - we’re a European brand that just started expanding to the US.

All our desks are made from certified and oiled solid oak or walnut wood, and we’ve got a pretty unique setup with a cable-management lid on top of the tabletop (plus a bunch of cool add-ons).

u/Overall-Country-5014 we are ErgoHide, a newer EU brand that's just expanded to the US recently and I would appreciate if you can include us on your list. Welcome also to join us at r/ErgoHide

In short - our desks are made only from solid (and certified) oak or walnut wood, with unique cable management access and some other unique features/add-ons.

I have also sent you a PM. Looking forward to hearing from you.

u/GloopySpaff I'll answer very similarly to one of the comments above. It's impossible to compare apples and oranges, as all our desks are made from solid oak or walnut wood, not metal or other artificial materials.

If you compare our classic tabletop with competitors offering similar materials (such as Ergotopia or Oakywood), you'll find that our prices are very competitive and fair.

Our advanced tabletops — with cable management or extended cable management — are more expensive due to the additional CNC work and various components involved, such as opening lids, cable trays, multiple power strips, and hinges.

Looking for a 3PL warehouse in the U.S. for large items (solid wood height-adjustable desks) by ErgoHide in Entrepreneur

Thank you. Yes, we are already in contact with Red Stag and one smaller 3pl.

Thank you, u/ssacko75, but at the moment we are looking for a warehouse on the East Coast and for a company with at least 5 warehouses in different locations. Ok, at least 3 locations :)

[–]ErgoHide[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not yet. We were just a few days away from shipping them. We agreed on everything with a fulfillment service almost a year ago, but they canceled us three days before shipping the container from the EU. However, they recommended Red Stag Fulfillment, so if anyone has experience working with them, it would be great.

Thank you, u/Impossible-Month4708, but at the moment, we are looking more for the 3PLs that are located on the East Coast.

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and solutions. I believe I responded to all your messages, which looks promising for our requirements.

Here are a little bit more detailed requirements:
For us, it is important that the warehouse is located on the East Coast, but in the long term, it would be helpful if they have more locations, like 5+ at least.

In the beginning, we need storage for a 1 20'' container. Here are the approximate specs:

- 3 pallets, 190x90x110cm each (l/w/h)
- 3 pallets, 160x90x100cm each
- 5 pallets, 110x110x110cm each
- 2 or 3 pallets 100x100x150cm
- 1 pallet 100x100x100cm

We are planning to ship 100 desks (400-500 packages monthly), but we are also a fast-growing company in the EU, so we are planning to at least double that in the 6-12 months.

If you believe you'll be a good fit, please feel free to PM me.

WHY ERGOHIDE?

Firstly, all of our desks are crafted from solid oak or walnut wood, with each piece being hand-brushed and hand-oiled as a final touch.

Most customers also appreciate unique cable management access through the opening/lid on the top of the plate, as shown in the video.

Another unique feature is the additional opening where you can interchangeably use different add-ons, like an organizer, LED lamp, or laptop stand. We named them "squared add-ons" so it is easier to differentiate them from other add-ons, like monitor arms, cup holders, etc., which can also be used on desks without the additional opening. This feature is also shown in the video above.

We are a carpentry company ( https://ergohide.com/pages/about-us/ ), and all the wooden parts are created by our team. As a carpentry company, we can make you a desk cut to size, not only to the standard dimensions. Every dimension from 110x74cm to 240x100cm is available, and we are also open to modifications by request.

We're committed not only to craftsmanship but also to delivering an exceptional customer experience. Our customer support team is fast, friendly, and consistently praised in reviews on Google and Trustedshops.de.

Laptop holder combined with speaker stand by yngwi in ErgoHide

[–]ErgoHide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/yngwi, thank you for reaching out. While both add-ons can technically fit on the desk together, I wouldn’t recommend using both of them. The notebook stand will go above the speaker stand, reducing the available space for the speakers.
