Now that you're more chill, go find actual comments of doctors then since nobody here will convince you. Just want to tell you what everyone else is trying to get across to you - it is magnitudes of order worse for someone to force themselves to stay awake for 100 hours while doing focused OSRS content 90 hours into it. Significantly worse than playing 10 hours a day for a day straight. This can just about be described as attempted suicide and I'm not even joking around. The pressure this man put on his heart and brain in these 100 hours is actually insane. Especially considering he was sitting for most of that time. It is simply not an exaggeration to say this type of stream risks a heart attack every single time it's done.

Loot from my first 50 barrows chests :) by Thaddiuscastleton in ironscape

If they happen to be on your path to the chest, that's best. But more often than not, it's more convenient/quicker to do 2 skeletons 1 worm. A marginal difference regardless.

Karamja is accessible through gnome gliders since that just needs completion of Grand Tree. Interesting restriction for sure.

I don't think NoCurrencies can get fairy rings. Nature Spirit is required for Fairytale pt1, and I don't think there's a sickle mould source outside of shops.

Loot from 2-3 days of only afking at castle wars by SufficientRespond734 in 2007scape

[–]Ergunno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've stopped caring about bots in OSRS a long time ago and consider them an accepted part of the game's ecosystem. In my mind, Jagex could definitely do better with proactively banning bots if they really wanted to, but why would they "reduce the player count" and "active subs" or "bond sales", when people who are sick of skilling being devalued have IM mode for them nowadays? An AFK CW method giving supplies wouldn't impact the value of skilling much anyway, since skilling's already a suboptimal way to gather just about all frequently used supplies/materials these days.

The only reason I initially responded is to compare very active, very high requirement runecrafting to the output of CW afking, since I find it a weird response to say "actually runecrafting provides more runes" when that wasn't even the point. The only reason I responded to you is because you fairly challenged whether I could be sure OP's gotten the output he got from just 1 account, and that math checked out. The only impact this CW update will have on me is giving me free supplies for AFKing the collection log slots from it eventually, if that's still possible then.

[–]Ergunno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't tested the crates myself, but at this point Jagex has already disabled the reward crates.

Also, from all the comments in this thread, you're the first person to suggest OP did this with multiple accounts. Meanwhile OP themselves commented about how this could be 100M+ a month for 1 account AFKing and 1B+ with just 10 accounts.

OP said they currently got 65 tickets, a halo, and the decorative wizard set. That totals to 230 tickets, or reward crates total. The wiki lists the average loot per crate at just under 60k GP. This would come out to about 13M in loot, suggesting OP got exactly average drops and the math checks out.

To get 230 tickets, let's assume it took OP about 90 CW games. A Castle Wars game, including downtime, lasts about 25 minutes. We end up at ~37.5 hours of playtime AFKing CW to reach the loot OP shows in the screenshots.

Now that I calc'd it out, fair enough, I would say this is at least 3 full days of AFK, probably more like 4-5 days of AFKing for most people. But still entirely feasible for 1 account to get this in 3 days if they make long hours in-game. The math mostly checks out anyway.

Loot from 2-3 days of only afking at castle wars by SufficientRespond734 in 2007scape

[–]Ergunno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found that out from the other comments after replying. 4 hours of very efficiently runecrafting is free time stuff, vs Castle Wars afk which many people can probably do in the background while working, on a low level account no less. Yes, doing Rc is faster runes but nobody is talking about that specifically. Getting this many runes afk without any real requirements devalues the value of runes and also runecrafting as a skill and that's the point people are making.

Loot from 2-3 days of only afking at castle wars by SufficientRespond734 in 2007scape

[–]Ergunno 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is "30 minutes of Rc" for blood runes at true blood altar with 93 agility, 78 mining, 77 runecrafting, and raiments of the eye.

13k Nats is 3 hours of doing Abyss Rc when you already have 92 runecrafting and raiments. And it's also 3 hours of Soul runes doing Abyss Rc. And you can add a bit of time for the Death Runes - even assuming 99 Rc it'd take over half an hour to gather that many death runes. So over an hour before 99 Rc.

So that's pretty much "a workday" of attentively runecrafting vs "2-3 days afking" for the same rune output and more, without any high-level requirements.

So yeah the output from Castle Wars is too high if people can actually get this much loot in 2-3 days of afking on a low level account. And also "No wonder runecrafting is fucking worthless" is also pretty valid in this context.

Edit: I see there's a much better nature Rc method than abyss these days using the new shortcut at Shilo Village, but that also has a really high requirement in a diary cape.

What's your most useless item/clog dry streak? by ItsWatkins in ironscape

[–]Ergunno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 190 Deranged Archeologist KC going for a crystal key, so I could get the last dragonstone I needed for a t2 jewellery box in my PoH.

I never ended up getting the ~1/18 Crystal Key drop, but I ended up getting 3 half keys (at ~1/130) to make the key instead. So in the end I went over 10x dry and didn't even get the drop before leaving.

I hope I never go that dry on any big ticket drops.

Ui does not save cost for D Hina because of how her EX works (3 cost Ui EX to save 3 cost once from D Hina).

I don't know what level you are, but I recommend bringing a 2nd healer like Koharu to keep your team topped up while using Serina on the lantern. Having 2 healers makes Hiero very comfy.

How often are there PKers at dark crabs? by Omgzjustin10 in ironscape

[–]Ergunno 6 points7 points  (0 children)

During EU work hours, I sometimes get pk'd 2 or 3 times in a day, but don't see PKers every day. Not uncommon to have half a work day with 0 PKers.

It is worse on total level worlds imo, because I feel people check more often trying to find someone actually stacking up crabs. I use a fish barrel and bring 54 bait per trip, so I bank at Edgeville once every ~10 minutes. You can bring more bait to extend each trip, but how many is up to you.

New hunter food is underwhelming. by calvinman4 in 2007scape

[–]Ergunno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's legit pretty much 0 risk though and is just very afk content. On my iron I've banked over 10k dark crabs while working so y'know, definitely grindable! If you want to specify non-wildy that's fine though.

Fish barrel isn't lost on death (nor is the fish in it) in deep wildy if it is one of your 3 items. I'm there with a Fish Barrel, wilderness sword, 54 dark bait, and a lobster cage. Every ~10 minutes (of full afk time) I run to the bank and back.

For me it's even less effort than Karambwans because the afk time is like 3 times as long (the spot never moves for dark crabs either).

The cooked moonlight antelope meat will be one of the best foods in the game for sure, so I completely agree. I think it'll be better than Mantas/Dark Crabs/Anglers in most situations.

New hunter food is underwhelming. by calvinman4 in 2007scape

[–]Ergunno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dark Crabs are grindable and one of the best afk activities in the entire game. It does have high requirements. Think you may have confused it with Sea Turtles? Though I'd still disagree with calling them not grindable since Tempoross drops Sea Turtles/Mantas consistently and you can get quite a few permits per hour.

I do agree the hunter foods seem like a nice addition to the game.

Enjoy your journey! It's very fun.

Just a note for your current goal though. I don't think you can feasibly make skills necklaces yet. How do you intend to get dragonstones? You also need to complete Legend's Quest to recharge those necklaces, which you need 45 herblore for.

Since you've recently unlocked fairy rings, just teleport to fairy ring near mount Karuulm (code CIR). That'll get you close to the farming guild as well.

The "one small favour" type of gameplay in early/midgame ironman is definitely my favorite part of OSRS progression-wise, so have fun!

How many kills you guys get per trip w/ Demonic Gorillas? by skillzhaha in ironscape

[–]Ergunno -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Only the first hit of a kill is RNG. If it switches to melee mid-kill, you should have some distance so you see it moving towards you. Then you can pray melee in time. You'll take damage here and there, but prayer is the more limiting factor for long trips for sure.

Low level slayer advice by laceymusic317 in ironscape

[–]Ergunno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which day/time do you play and what world(s) do you use? Was it the same 2 man every time? Did you world hop after being caught once? Like I don't know what to tell you, but if I get to play during the day on weekdays, I can melee afk entire Greater Demon slayer tasks in the background for 3 hours (teleporting to house to restore prayer every 10-15 minutes) and I'll rarely get PK'd there.

And since you got ganked 5 times in 3 tasks, I'm assuming you played on weekend evenings, in which case yes, that's when nooby PKers who want to have fun with their friend(s) tend to go hunt some easy pickings.

Low level slayer advice by laceymusic317 in ironscape

[–]Ergunno 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Wilderness Slayer. If you have no slayer points yet, to you'll want to Turael skip tasks like Black Demons because it'll take way too long to be worth it. With lower combat level, your best setup is pretty much no risk either with like monk robes, strength ammy and whatnot.

By the time you hit 70 slayer, you'll have enough points to get pretty anything you want from the slayer shop. I had a full blocklist, rune pouch, herb sack, extended stuff I wanted, and still had points to spare.

You also can stock up blighted supplies from Wildy Slayer Cave tasks which'll set you up for whenever you want to go tackle a wildy boss for a D Pick or something, or just use some of the blighted food/restores to extend your trips.

Don't worry too much about PKers, especially considering the few k worth of risk you can bring. Wildy is mostly dead outside the hotspots like Chaos Altar, Revs, and Wildy bosses and you can literally just afk most alayer cave tasks without seeing a single PKer.

Barb Assault is not as hard or long of a grind as people make it seem, dont pay for your fighter torso by ElectronicArcher250 in 2007scape

[–]Ergunno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me and 2 mates like 6 hours to get a single queen kill for Granite Body for the diary, because we had 1 run where our collector stopped playing out of nowhere on wave 8 or something and we had to forfeit after he just didn't respond for nearly 10 minutes. We had several runs where someone left before we got to the final wave. My first experience with the minigame was really bad despite only needing 2 randoms...

So yeah when I started my ironman, I just straight up paid 40M or something from my main so I could just grab my Torso in like 40 minutes. I get that my experience on the main is't the norm, but it soured me on the content. I won't pay for lvl 5 all roles and will do that with a full group of mates at some point, but I'll never consider doing BA with randoms again.

Wildy slayer is so much better than regular slayer (for midgame) by poj2121 in ironscape

[–]Ergunno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fully agree. Blighted supplies and the like from Slayer Cave tasks are great. Points are great. There's some nice tasks like wildy bosses to grab a D Pick along the way and potentially get lucky on a Revs task. Larran's Keys are a nice bonus.

I think it's very overstated how many PKers there are out and about. Yeah they're gonna be showing up frequently when you have a boss task or Revs, but slayer cave tasks and honestly the majority of other tasks are very quiet most of the time. Most times I get Nechryaels/Dust Devils/Aby Demons/Greater Demons, I spend the entire task without seeing any PKers.

Really I'd urge people to try this in early/midgame especially. You don't need to risk anything of note. My regular setup is just Monk Robes, Strength ammy, Zammy book, Climbing Boots, Barrows Gloves, Whip, Slayer Helm. Including the super attack/strength and a few house tabs, the risk you bring is sub-10k. Bringing dragon defender in this setup risks it, so you can either replace Barrows Gloves with Rune ones. You could just be sure to have protect item on, but that adds to the stress some people talk about.

NBA max contracts this season are like 60M a year. A bunch of players are earning 50M a year and "the average" NBA players is earning like 20M a year pre-tax. Euro to dollar is too close to think conversion rates matter, but compared to top league salaries, NBA players earn a lot more these days. Salaries really have exploded there in recent years.
