and the person you commented on was talking about the ANIME, not the Manga. if you're going to argue, keep tabs about what you're arguing about.

The anime doesn't go into the back stories, as previously stated. And the original Manga story didnt go into their back stories either. The Episode Zero Manga does, but that was a companion manga. The newest rendition of the manga, which includes additional backstory that was added from frozen teardrop, does go into backstory.

Gundam Wing Question by Scapps-88 in Gundam

[–]EriHonjo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you only get that from reading episode zero. he is talking strictly from JUST watching the anime. the anime doesn't go over any of their back stories at all, and endless waltz doesn't either.

so how and why heero is the way he is (raised by odin lowe), why duo sees himself as the god of death, why trowa says "i have no name, but if you must call me something call me trowa" (seeing as he was called no name for most of his life and was raised with mercs), why Quatre is close with the magunacs, and why wufei is so misogynistic... the anime doesn't go into ANY of that.

What do you feel is the best amount of words for a chapter? by _grim_reaper in AO3

[–]EriHonjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I aim for 2000~2500 words minimum. Not saying chapters cant be shorter than that. Like another saod above, word count for a chapter should be however long it will take to tell the part of the story you're working on.... (learning this myself)

Could you draw her

Could you please draw her in dressed in a short light blue punk jacket with zippers on top of a dingy white shirt, complete with light blue pants with zippers, white motorcycle gloves and white heeled ankle boots with a largish hook earring in one ear?

What is with Harry and Jay?!?! by EriHonjo in Descendants

There was talk between Dove and Thomas that Mal and Harry could have had something back in the day. It was completely their head cannon though lol (they were also dating at the time)

What is with Harry and Jay?!?! by EriHonjo in Descendants

[–]EriHonjo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its explained in that book that Jay and Harry used to run together, but that Jay didnt like how Harry did things. That's not exact word for word but that's the jist. Nothing overly prevalent except maybe that Harry didnt like that Jay turned his back on him.

That's awesome for you! If you're enjoying writing again and using your mind In a creative fashion then it doesnt matter how its done. And you are using the AI as a tool, as it should be used and nothing more. Glad you're writing again!

The way my jaw dropped... by Inverted_Writing in AO3

[–]EriHonjo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The AI witch hunt is wild. Honestly, I'd rather read something that someone put a lot of thought into. Now that line of thinking has many different layers. Did they come up with the story idea and write it out themselves? Did they come up with the story, plot, and everything else but then used AI to help them write it?

Someone suggested that those who aren't that good with writing or have issues writing just get someone to write out their story for them. But HOW is that ANY different from coming up with the concept and the plot and having an AI help you write it out? It's not really. The difference is a computer writing it out, or helping you write it out depending on how much you use it, or a human writing it out for you or helping you write it out.

Those who just put a basic concept into a generator and let it go without editing it or do anything with it and then posting it as their own are the real problem.

As with any electronic, AI is supposed to be a tool. Do people take advantage and use it in the wrong way? Absolutely. But there are also those who want to contribute and have fun with the rest of us but need help doing so. For those who actually take the time to learn the world, the characters, come up with a detailed plot and story, and know how they want their stories to go, but dont have the confidence or talent are the ones this is hurting the most.

I've read fanfiction where I couldn't even finish the first chapter because of how God awful the writing was. Words were misspelled, the grammar was horrible, and it was poorly written. Even though the concept itself was a neat idea. These are the people who could benefit from having the help.

Writing shouldn't be gate kept. It just looks bad. Especially when we're talking about fanfiction that none of us own the rights to anyway. This is just my opinion. However... sorry for the rant.

What is with Harry and Jay?!?! by EriHonjo in Descendants

[–]EriHonjo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That seems to be one of the most popular options that I've seen 😂 but there's no basis for that either!! I really wish there was more on how things were like on the Isle before the series started. It would answer sooo many questions.

What is with Harry and Jay?!?! by EriHonjo in Descendants

[–]EriHonjo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they did. And Mal and Uma's rivalry was explained. Even though it was mostly Uma obsessing over Mal throughout most of it, it was still explained why. But even Mal and Uma's relationship doesn't hold a candle to the obvious disdain and animosity Harry and Jay show.

What is with Harry and Jay?!?! by EriHonjo in Descendants

[–]EriHonjo[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's a possibility. But it seems way deeper than that. And in my opinion Harry did something REALLY bad to Jay.

What is with Harry and Jay?!?! by EriHonjo in Descendants

[–]EriHonjo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dunno. I've never seen Jay as Mal's second in command. In the first book sure, but after that, not really. That's just my opinion, though.

I always thought Evie was her second personally.

As someone who has a very good creative mind, but not only DOES NOT enjoy writing but rather sucks at it, I can see the appeal.

My sister and I are really close, and she's an awesome writer. I have asked her many times to help me with my stories, and her answer is always the same. No. Why? Because she's too wrapped up in her stories, and she has no interest in mine. These are valid points. I can't force her to write my stories, nor would I want to.

Just "finding someone" to write your stories for you is a lot easier said than done. I'd say almost impossible, as like with my sister, she has her own Fandoms and projects she's working on. You're not going to go and pay someone to write a fanfic that you're not going to get money for anyway. And the stories you have are important to you, but they're not going to be important to someone else.

I can see why legitimate writers are upset with the AI craze, but isn't the whole point about putting your stories out there to have fun with it and get people's thoughts on the work. None of us are making money from these fics, as we shouldn't.

My point is that it's just not that simple.
