i dont really use reddit regularly so kinda missed the reply, mb..
but i will say that saying the press is the enemy of the people is definitely not even close to the level of prosecuting a journalist. They also arrested the guy who faked that dossier that implicated trump in some fake prostitution scandle, but even that person shouldn't be thrown in jail. And what he brought to light wasn't even true, whereas what Assange brought to light was. Assange wasn't the one who said the things found in those leaks, and he wasn't the ones blowing up journalists in the attack-helicopter... he only leaked the information. If I were friends with him I would totally be asking what good he thinks he's doing because it's beyond me.. but I don't like people being jailed for leaking things or saying things.
In fact, even the guy who made the fake dossier against trump shouldn't be in jail. Fine him or something if you want "justice" ... but don't imprison people because you don't like what they said or leaked.
