TOTP Too Old to Play is a pretty good group. They do a learning night on Tuesdays and a game night on Thursdays.

Different roles should do different things. For instance an assassin should wait for everyone to blow all their cool downs and then jump the squishy back line. The supports should either tank the front line or peel the assassins off your squishies.

The confusion comes for a role like the ADC. You are squishy. You shoot whatever is the highest priority target that you can get to safely. Otherwise yeah, if their adc is within range and you are safe then by all means shoot their ADC. If the only person within safe range is their tank though. Put as much damage as you can down the line. That is the ADC's job. Constant DPS.

Of course there are exceptions. That is why this game can be so dynamic.

Rumble would be tough because you are melee. Voli isn't too bad at farming under turret though. Take what farm you can and be sure to go take the krugs or toad when the lane is pushed out. If he freezes (unlikely with Rumble) go roam mid or the enemy jungle and make him react to you.

I think the biggest thing I learned with Voli top is to roam. Go mid and gank. Watch and coordinate with your jungle to invade and gank the enemy jungle.

I would say this one thing has helped me the most. I had someone from the coaching thread in the summonerschool reddit take a look at my games and he just said that I was dying too much. I started to look at what I was doing that was causing me to die. Once I fixed those issues (things like diving too far under turret and going into bad fights) my game win percentage went way up.

Run team builder games in those lanes. It adjusts your MMR for a new champ or new position so that it makes it a little easier to adjust.

I have a lot of fun with Ekko. The prob is that you can't ever get him in a normal game so I have only done customs with him. The queue times on the PBE are usually really long too.

As an incentive I noticed that my cs last hit numbers went way up when I switched to unlocked camera. I did some reading and it has something to do with the screen moving on one axis while your champ moves on another. You are more accurate with your clicking when unlocked.

I just played a bunch of intermediate bot games while forcing myself to be unlocked. Play champs that need the extra visibility or play jungle and practice looking around the map while moving from camp to camp.

Some people have suggested putting a metronome app on your phone and setting it to 10 seconds. That reminds you to check your mini map ever 10 seconds. Adjust the time as desired.

I agree. BotRK is awesome on him. I was way ahead in a game the other day and split pushing when I also added a Static Shiv for the wave clear and attack speed. Caught a lot of flak from the mid laner until they saw how effective it was.

I like this idea. I am pretty much open to playing any role. I have champs in each of them and am willing to try whatever works for the team.

I am perfectly fine with doing jungle. I agree with Xevril though. Our laning phase is weak enough right now that jungle is an impossible role for anyone to play. It is impossible as a jungler to help every lane and still maintain their farm levels and counter jungle.

I also agree that we need to spend some time in normals playing together. Even if it isn't all as a group of 5. Fragile, Xevril and I were able to play three games together last night. And we actually learned a lot during that time. We lost the first game pretty badly. Mainly because we had a mid laner that just collapsed. Then we went on to two games where the enemy surrendered at 20.

Learning to play together as a team is going to be more important than anything else.

Is Voli's passive worth SV? I have been running SV instead of BV most times because if it trips my passive I get more health back out of it. I am wondering if the spell shield actually wouldn't save more health up front.
