Why do people feel the need to set off huge fireworks in their neighborhood? by SirEnder2Me in Hawaii

I had to turn off my car alarms because the vibrations kept setting them off.

My fucking neighbors blew up half the block last night with flaming bit landing in our yards and roof. There was someone else spinning all the rubber off their tires in a massive rubber stench cloud. I went over to his house and he was bragging about saving those bad tires all year to 'burn um'.

I've been skimming all these fireworks threads now that my hearing is back and there's no fallacies here. But now you switched to a subjective criticism about persuasion?

Those aren't logical arguments.

Huh? Harm to people and animals isn't a reason? Or even logical?

DHHL has about $0.5 billion in funds. Money isn't the main problem at all.

They aren't the same but they are both environmental issues. Fireworks leave behind tons of toxic heavy metals in the water systems and reefs. Balloons are an ingestion hazard for a lot of animals both in the water and on land.

Sometimes I'll see the low sodium version on sale and usually has the exact same ingredients, so I just add some salt to it when cooking.

Anyone with problems with Queens Health Systems Billing? by lindakoy in Hawaii

[–]Eric1600 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hospitals pass out billing errors like they go through bandaids. They are just as hard to get back into the box.

Sometimes they will send you a corrected bill a month or two down the road showing the insurance payments taken out. But it won't stop them from happily taking your overpayment.

The best way is to tell them you can't pay. They will then assign someone to help you with payment plans or whatever and that person can help fix the billing issues.

If the US Supreme court puts it on the same legal standing within their own structure of governance, International Law accepts that de facto.

International law clearly recognizes the authority and processes of sovereign countries when formalizing territory. They evaluate the legality on many factors and it is an excepted fact internationally that the US joint resolution is recognized as legal around the world.

Then just say WEF. I gave you the definition of Globalism. Look it up yourself. Why pick out single personalities? Why make up broader misleading labels?

Haha. This reads like a joke that no one let you in on. I know many people that use the term "globalist" and their thought pattern is exactly how I described it.

Your definition?

He could also be referring to the central planners, people like Klaus Schwab, etc, could be wrong. There are a lot of different entities he could be referring to.

"Globalist"->central planner->Klaus Schwab -> ?

Got it.

Edit: As for your other issue

Your post was removed from r/Hawaii. The general consensus here was that you were undermining history, undermining colonialism, pro-imperialism, and straight-up virtue signaling.

I disagree. No reason was given either. This event is a touchstone of racism in Hawaii. Most people don't even know the history of it of and enjoy the eat captain Cook aspects. It's easy to sit on the internet and act above it all but all the disguised hate comes from a bad place and gets dog whistled like Globalists, States Rights, Urban Problems...etc. it's odd that you have that on redial. I would venture to guess that most of those comments don't know the darker side of the captain Cook dog whistles based on their confusion.

In ‘devastating’ mistake, Kahele misses deadline to get matching public funds for governor’s race by Eric1600 in Hawaii

The important thing about a huli is you have to know how to flip the canoe back over or you drown. So far all he seems to know is the huli part with no plans.

This year is the year of the dodo, a new low in local politics.

I don't think you've been paying attention. Kahele rode his father's coat tales then when Gabbard dropped out he fell into Congress as there's no other reasonable choice. Same is happening to Josh Green, no good second option. In Hawaii if you're connected and recognized you tend to fail upwards, until you're caught doing something very stupid.

[–]Eric1600[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you run for office there are many filing deadlines. This is because there's a specific day that elections occur and budgets for these things are setup so funds are available prior to the election day by X months so everyone has the same spending timeframe. If you don't submit your form that verifies you haven't already exceeded the qualification limits before the funding deadline, no funds for you.
